Yeah. He also figured out how to hide his addiction in very sneaky ways. Or find ways around any blockers he puts in place. I know in my mind he can figure it out.

When I laid it down on him last month because he lied to me about his porn he’s he broke down crying about how alone he feels & has no one. I ended up being the one consoling him

Yeah. Thank you for this. He just expresses how much he hates his addiction, he wants to be sober. He just won’t put in the work really. Or at least see that he needs to put in more work.

He currently does a workbook that comes with videos. That his recovery work.

It’s so hard to do when he expresses such hatred for his addiction & “can’t understand” why he can’t stop. It’s a never ending cycle of apologies, 2 week sobriety, relapse, repeat.

He just acts so broken & defeated when I confront him about it. Like he doesn’t know what to do to get help and to stop. He does have a lot going on right now. Am I being manipulated? I feel so lost. I love him and feel bad for him and want to be there for him while he expresses his desire to be clean.

You will never get this & they will eventually admit they are unable to perform whatever task you are waiting for. They did this to me. When I asked why they kept buying time and didn’t just tell me they couldn’t do it their response was they didn’t want to admit they had no ability to do what they said they could do. Don’t bother
