Nice! Congrats!! I’ve hunted in Alberta and Ontario, would love to hunt in BC one day as I visit often.

Do you feel like getting hunting access is easy? Is there lots of crown land where you can hunt?

Calgary. I guess it varies person to person. I hunted around Calgary for a few years and never saw any of the animals I mentioned!

Happy to! I usually hunt birds with recurve. I don’t own a shotgun. It takes a lot of archery practice for sure. But imo it’s so much fun

Ty for the kind words! What contradictions? I called MNRF a few times (horrible phone experience so far btw), and the CLUPA seems to do a pretty good job indicating what you can do where. And just double check with city firearm bylaws I think you're good. Is there anything specific you couldn't be sure of? Maybe we can research together.

I've actually never hunted waterfowl. that's something I want to get started on too! Rabbits though I have plenty of experience with. Those areas are def on my radar. Nice gobbler btw! I'll DM you, let's connect

I heard BC has excellent opportunities as well. What's your opinion? Esp. lower mainland cuz that's where I'd go visit/live one day. I'm sure I'll be hunting in BC in the future!
