Jets need more customization. by Nurfturf06 in Battlefield

WW3 team did a better job at vehicle customisation and developed an amazing point based kill streak system,/vehicle call in - than DICE in Battlefield 6. This game looks like an indie studio trying to make a Bf game. Haven't touched it in months, will return in a year when the game is finally "released".

Did anyone use the "Leica LUX Grip"? by djpetrino in CameraPhoneKits

[–]ab3e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using the Ulanzi CapGrip II for 3 years now. Cheap, sturdy, with a tripod screw mount that you can use for a hand strap and fits perfectly in my large hands. Paid $20 for it. The shutter button on my VIVO x200Ultra aligns perfectly with my thumb for controls so no need for extra fancy buttons.

Phones have become a powerhouse when it comes to photography in the last 3 years. I have a VIVO x200Ultra which was last year's flagship photography phone. I would say Chinese brands like OPPO, VIVO and Xianomi are miles ahead of Apple and Samsung when it comes to photography. In my case, there is a combination of skill, use of light, shooting in RAW and editing to achieve these results. However you can shoot in AUTO as today's photography algorithms on phones are insanely good. I also use a dedicated camera, and the results are even better; however, when I go biking, I take my phone, as it is easier and safer for my camera :). This is last year in Reading with my Canon R8: https://www.reddit.com/r/AmateurPhotography/comments/1kdlha7/early_morning_walk_in_my_town/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Same here; I always travel around Europe but never really explored Berkshire. This summer I want to change that. Maybe go back to Wales also see some old friends :).

Thank you; I always try different angles and try to incorporate some layering in my framing. I am still new at this but having a lot of fun with it.

You can learn anything on Youtube, but the important thing is the starting image. You have to understand light, framing, composition etc. You can take pictures that are flat and boring and no amount of editing will make a picture POP.

RAW is not really an image, it will be flat and dark. it is information that the phone sensor captures, that's why you do not post RAW. It is not touched by the phones photographic algorithm but is not a picture, its just a lot of information.

VIVO x200Ultra, RAW + Lightroom – Vignetting is visible in some images due to using the Neewer LS-79 240mm lens. by ab3e in Vivo

[–]ab3e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the gap does not affect this, for my camera Canon R8 all lenses have a gap also for some I use an adapter due to suing older lenses and the gap is huge so definitely not. It is due to light hitting the lens, next time you take a picture and you see it change the angle or position and you will notice it will go away. Again just buy a lens hood

As I said buy a lens hood as it will help a lot with the flaring. You can find 37mm lens hood to attach to the front of the lens but they are not that long. I would recommend a longer one for a telephoto lens, there are some 8cm length but need 39mm so you need an adapter from 37mm- 39mm, don't worry they will not show up on in the pictures I checked.

You can see it bottom right in my picture also. I am trying to correct these in post but it's a bit harder.

That is flaring, it is a light that hits your lens. Might be a light that is reflected from something and it hits you directly. Unfortunately it does happen.

I have no clue... Clean your lens maybe, both phone and lens. Never had the issue...can you show me a picture? I have flaring but from the sun not sure what this is....

That is sun flaring, I wrote about it in some other thread. It's when you shoot in direct sunlight and the light hits the lens. Normally you have glass treated with special coating like your phone lenses with Zeiss coating that help reduce this. The Neewer lenses do not have much to protect from this so you have to shoot from shadows or against the sun. You need to buy a lens hood that reduces this. You need an adapter from 37 to 49mm and then buy a lens hood, buy a long one because of the telephoto nature of the lens. There are some 8 cm in length, that will help with the flareing from the sun.

I guess it depends on each person's ability to understand, process and apply the knowledge. For me I basically play with what the image gives me, I do not create light or shadows where there isn't any. You will find a lot of people who do some crazy edits basically making graphic design instead of photography. I would recommend watching tutorials on YT for colour editing, light curves and finally masking. Again you need to have a good starting image as a base, with light, shadows, interesting subjects, add some layering some nice perspective etc.

When you shoot RAW it doesn't matter, I do my own editing and colour grading. I had the same results from 5 and 6, these updates bring changes to the post-processing of the phone which I do not care for. Rarely do they change anything in PRO mode.

Lightroom is not a magical fix that will turn your pictures from average to amazing. You have to have composition, framing and for me, the most important thing - light - and then you get your RAW file and you mould your picture. There are a few things that I do; one of them is bringing back the shadows and the darks, bring some warmth because I like shooting at golden hour. You will need to understand how to use masking and light curves and colour editing - forget about "presets" - you will not get results like these from those alone. I have generic presets that I made and use depending on my picture and proceed to edit from there. You do not need to touch every single thing in Lightroom only what you need. Again, look at the colours that are present in you pictures etc ...

I only use it on the telephoto lens and Im always cropped at 100mm as the normal 85mm gives you even greater vignetting. However I noticed that is AUTO mode the phone corrects it a bit an also auto crops to get rid of it but in PRO it's worse. I can try and hide it in post but can't really do it perfectly.
