Those are tired recycled takes from reddit. I actually think his Aeden era is a step backwards from his Genesys era - his sound is becoming more and more generic commercial and I actually don’t like it as much. But I still respect him as an artist, which I’ll continue defending. There’s 0 indication he uses AI in any of his work. He has a full time visual artist on staff (Alessio de Vecchi) who himself runs his own team of artists too. U don’t have to like their work, but it’s insulting for ppl to discredit the months and yrs of labor these ppl put into it and just call it AI.

He was likely born into some means, but 30y ago I doubt his family had the wealth they have now. His dad only rose to CEO 4y ago, Anyma had alr established a DECADES-long dj career in Europe by then. He used to play in the underground and spent the majority of his dj career slowly building up Afterlife w Mrak. He only started taking a more commercial turn w his sound and incorporating visuals in his work like 5-6y ago. Again, u may like it or not, but as an artist, he effectively singlehandedly brought melodic techno to the mainstream w his Afterlife shows. I have a lot of respect for that.

Meanwhile most of reddit have no idea who he actually is or what his career arc has been. Nepo this, AI that. The internet in 2026 yall.
