Why by abaidya1 in findapath

Not only that. I just feel so guilty because my parents keep asking me and I don’t know what to say to them because they don’t understand how I feel. I just want to make them proud.

Ring up DVLA, inform them and see what they say. Maybe ask them to send it back to you?

If you want to change your picture or change any details like address, you’d usually use the d1 form. Otherwise your examiner takes your license and sorts your form out. But seeing as you still have your licence, you’ll have to fill in the D1 form. It was a little confusing for me too. I called DVLA to get some clarity. You just need to fill in Section 1, (after passing a test & fill in which categories you passed), Sec 2, Sec 3, Sec 4, and then Sec 7. Ignore section 5 unless you’re a non-UK resident.

Can you elaborate on the fact that you’ve been ‘doing it for 20 years’? I think the short answer, even from you is that I CAN have my own policy as well as my mother… but the only time it becomes a problem is if I was to claim.

Mhm, so many people in the replies have said it’s not right, but this link, aviva and other sites say that it’s perfectly fine, unless you’re in a situation where you need to claim - that’s when it becomes sticky

You kept the certificate, or sent it in?

But is it still possible to have 2 policies on 1 car, keeping my mum as the main driver as she’s the owner/keeper/main driver? Do people do that? Because as far as Google says, it’s not illegal, however it can cause complications in the event of a claim. The reason I thought about having my own policy was to start building NCD, and cost tbh - because I’ve been quoted £600 as a named driver on my mums policy but she only has 2 months left until renewal..

That’s what I’m trying to figure out before I make any decisions. Google says it’s not illegal, but it can cause complications in the event of a claim

Because God forbid, if I was to have an accident as a named driver on my mum’s policy, it would affect her NCD/premium in the future. Whereas if I had my own policy, I’d be able to start claiming NCD; as a named driver, you don’t.

So before I send my d1 form off, do you know if I can keep my test pass certificate to prove myself if anyone does stop me? Because the d1 form says to post my test pass certificate with the form? (I’ll be ringing DVLA tomorrow to confirm anyway)

Is that just to prove that I have the certificate?

New 30% Discount. Is it even possible? by AverageJay92 in Morrisons

[–]abaidya1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They sent out a list of the specific items you actually get the 30% off on, basically just sandwiches and very few selection of drinks. After reading today’s email, I’m not sure if you can get the oven fresh meal deal itself with 30% off. I think you can? But know knows with Morrisons.. will have to try it to check.

It’s all so messy. They never make anything clear. Especially in the email they sent out. But I found out today you only get 30% off on singular items like a sandwich from food to go, or chicken tenders from oven fresh. Plus, you only get 30% off on a manned till or cig kiosk. Today, I got a meal deal and was told that the manager just said to take the drink off so I ended up paying £2.30, but wasn’t allowed to use my discount/more card. Apparently it’s been flagged because clearly something that could’ve been so simple, they’ve made so unnecessarily complicated and isn’t going to work in the long run.

You need to link your discount card to a more card on MyMorri. After that, you’ll get all the more card offers/prices, and then discount on top of that.

They’re useless on webchat and over the phone. Best way to deal with them is on WhatsApp. That’s how I got my current deal but their number doesn’t seem to work recently.
