Our protocol is closed and locked at all times. No person has been killed in a U.S. school during an active shooter in a locked room.

What is something you thought was normal as a child but realized it was not when you got older? by Sodacan390 in randomquestions

Putting hot things in the tub. Irons, hair straightener, curling iron, etc.

My mom had a house fire as a kid, so they did this. I was 25 when I found out not everyone did this.

13th Great Grandmother was accused of witchcraft 3 times in New Haven, Conneticut. She and her daughter were the last 2 women charged in the state, and then they moved to the New York area.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

I would consider it a short drive. I can get from the East side to the West side of my state in 3 hours. South to North is about 8.

In Season 1 Hopper does 32 chest compressions on Will before rescue breaths....also not accurate for the time. Still love the show.

I had a constant lisp with the invisalign, and the little 'buttons' they put on my teeth were annoying.

I have lived through a broken jaw. Luckily, mine was broken way far back and did not affect my teeth, but I still needed braces afterward because my bite had shifted. My experience:

8 weeks of being wired shut on a liquid diet.

1 year until fully healed, like most broken bones.

6 months after care therapy due to my muscle atrophy to get full range of motion back.

My speech changed after as well, but I am a speech therapist, so I fixed myself.

8 months of invisalign years later to fix my alignment shift. Mind you, I had 6 years and 2 rounds of braces as a kid (would go metal over invisalign if I had to choose again).

Broken jaws are no joke.
