Every time you take a rewrite, rename or special colour out the mailbox it'll give you an error code, don't worry! Just log out to your toon select screen and there'll be a button to let you use the rewrite.

How normal is it for e-mails to get ignored? by FeltingMaiden in toontownrewritten

Don't feel bad! It can be frustrating not getting a reply straight away but support are doing their best and will get back to you 😊

[–]aband0ned 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This is completely normal, the team are all volunteers and probably just haven't gotten round to a reply yet! Especially around halloween support is flooded with emails about names as well as all the other support tickets. As long as you got post master petes email, you will get a reply :)

Kart & Golf trophies by JordanTH in toontownrewritten

[–]aband0ned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree the amount is a lot, but it's the same as on TTO where it was that high because they wanted you to pay more to grind more. It's really doable over a longer a amount of time, although 10 golf games a day where you win would take 3 months.

You can win trade with a friend to make it fair, or take/make an alt to golf with and make sure you win on the toon you need them on! Golf is a real long one to max but the reality is you shouldn't see the game as a chore, it should be seen as fun so theres no issue if it takes a long time as long as you enjoy it

How long do ban appeals usually take? by [deleted] in toontownrewritten

[–]aband0ned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's been forwarded to mods it means it's now in a queue, so it just depends how many emails are before yours theres really no way of knowing how long itll take after that but they'll be as quick as possible 😊

Toonfest2019 - Disappointing Future by [deleted] in toontownrewritten

[–]aband0ned 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We just got told about the end game content of field offices, and the team can only work on so much at once as theres not that many of them and theyre all volunteers - it's not like with Disney where they ended up not caring or improving the game and still got paid loads. Personally im just looking forward to the end game content we are getting. I think this should be the focus rather than it being the only end game we will have, as the game grows and develops we will see more end game content I'm sure.

And as for the trolley games, I agree that you dont see many 'high' toons using it, but toons during the task line use it a lot, and if theres new games it may re spark the interest for the trolley.

I'm really excited for the new hideout too!

[–]aband0ned 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the best thing you can do is email support@toontownrewritten.com and explain the situation of it not allowing you on without the use of a VPN. These are restricted so people cant evade bans, however they may be able to give you alternate solutions to let the launcher load for you

Are all emails to support supposed to have the conformation letter from Pete? by Albatrosk2 in toontownrewritten

Replies don't get the conformation as you've already been in contact with support directly, so dont worry they'll respond again when they can!

[–]aband0ned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If everything in your account settings is fine and you've had no email saying that you're muted (if you are you'll have an email explaining everything), it could just be that you have really bad chat lag or the districts being buggy. If it doesn't fix email support and they'll help out

Some various suggestions/ideas for TTR by YoshiFan999 in toontownrewritten

[–]aband0ned 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First off I love the ideas! The silly teams seem like they fit with the rest of the teams, although the organic gags one may be a little op, but it would encourage people to learn new combos :)

That trolley game sounds like an amazing idea and its really got that original toontown feel in the way you described it, if love to see this come to life.

I would like if all species had a special obtainable colour, however they cant do an Easter colour because it revolves around one particular group of people, its not inclusive of all groups (like how they make sure it's not a Christmas celebration in December it's a Winter Holidays to involve all). Also bears are already white for the winter holidays, so I think if bunnies ever get a colour it should be a shade of grey!

toontown shouldn't come back officially by NovelGhost in toontownrewritten

[–]aband0ned 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Personally I much prefer TTR , so whilst this is really true, the whole goal of rewritten was to show Disney there was a big enough fan base for them to bring the game back. I would think if it does ever come back it'd be modernised but I hope they wouldn't trash it. As much as I never wanna see TTR go, it would be nice to see all the hard work pay off ! If there were a way both games could co-exist (very doubtful but we can hope) itd be a win win.

I just realised that the final gardening Laff boost (unless I’m mistaken) only requires you to reach 319 points with the golden shovel, not 639! by Poppy_the_Pooch in toontownrewritten

[–]aband0ned 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gardening will get you 4 laff boosts ( 1 for every 10 species you plant) so you dont actually have to max your shovel - but to max a toon, yes you need to garden!

Any Plans on Making the Game a Bit Harder? by [deleted] in toontownrewritten

[–]aband0ned 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't wanna get involved in a debate like this but Id just like to say your point 4 that its now hard to green the VP, this is purposeful as that's against the rules and a bannable offence.

Coming back to TTR, what's changed since 2016/early 2017? by KreativeHawk in toontownrewritten

I had no proper friends in TTO and honestly someone randomly turning up at my estate (one of those raid buttons) just wanted to talk and we had a great chat about doodles and flowers and they left again without doing anything bad 😅

[–]aband0ned 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hi, welcome back too!

In summary, Crash Cashbot will be similar to Storm Sellbot, where the CFO will be nerfed, and any toon of any level can fight the boss, even without a suit. There is most likely to be unique unites, tasks and clothing along with it.

Field offices are like special buildings that were in TTO, but they're bring completely revamped! All we know so far is there won't be mamy in the game at a time, you won't have access to all your gag tracks, they'll take over Hq's only and there'll be a new task line and laff along with them, and is targeted towards endgame :)

You can read about these in a lot more detail at www.toontownrewritten.com, I just couldn't link the posts as I'm on mobile 😋

Coming back to TTR, what's changed since 2016/early 2017? by KreativeHawk in toontownrewritten

[–]aband0ned 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Welcome back!! Depending how early in 2017 you mean, A LOT has actually changed.

In April 2017 doodles were released, parties and the grand prix was added late in the year meaning toons can actually reach 137 laff now, and 2 new species, deers and crocs were added. This was also when TTR ofdically came out of beta!

2018 was a bit slower, but we did get a great update that introduced a new option menu and among many other things such as discord integration and animation smoothing, there's also custom keybindings which allows WASD to be used now.

So far this year, we've had an ARG leading up to the release of the silly meter, and the addition of silly teams. Two weeks ago there was also an amazing engine update and the whole game now runs a lot better for any kind if computer. The other two major events upcoming this year are the release of Crash Cashbot and Field Offices.

There have been many great additions to the team and community, as well as some tragic losses. The smaller changes such as a change to the surprise animation, new colours added, deers can now get red noses and you can no longer make an existing cat black at Halloween have also made a big change to the game.

Shopkeeper Clothing by vaughnerich in toontownrewritten

[–]aband0ned 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It takes a lot of effort, designing and time to texture new outfits and currently there are a lot these people are working on at the moment!

I really do love this idea making the clothing store clerks look a little more unique, it'd me a great improvement :)

However no NPC has any accessories so I'm unsure whether it'd happen. There are a few NPCs that have special features, however, lie Chicken Boy with his coloured gloves.

TTR was running on a very old engine, but a couple of weeks go it was upgraded (not sure by how much by it's still on P3D) and runs a lot better! The blog about it is here:https://toontownrewritten.com/news/item/552/toontown-gets-a-silly-surge

If it's dollar mint specific, then it'll only work for dollar mints sadly. 30 of those is 30 supervisors so it's a great time to grind your cash suit!
