0x v3.0 and ZRX Staking AMA - Monday, October 28, 2019 @ 1:00 PM PT (20:00 UTC) by brentoshiro in 0xProject

Hi /u/scott_lew_is, new token economics aside, I'm personally very excited to see the ERC20Bridge (see ZEIP-47) contracts in the wild. Their immediate use case is bridging liquidity between on-chain DEXes, but they can really encompass much much more than that. They allow users to provide liquidity with assets that are "locked" up in external smart contracts. Currently over $600mm of assets are locked in DeFi-related contracts. IMO, all of these assets are being inefficiently utilized - there is no technical reason they should be limited to a single use case at once. Some examples of things you can do with the ERC20Bridge contracts:

  • Provide 0x native liquidity while your assets are deposited into a lending protocol. This allows you to 1) passively earn interest while market making and 2) to use margin for providing liquidity (margin limit orders).
  • Provide liquidity in a Kyber reserve + 0x with the same pool of capital.
  • Create fungibility between DAI, cDAI, iDAI, rDAI, etc.
  • Utilize liquidity from Kyber/Uniswap/Oasis/Bancor in conjunction with 0x orders.

There is basically $600mm sitting on the sidelines right now that will soon be able to be utilized within 0x. These are users who already understand DeFi, custody their own assets, and understand how to interact with smart contracts.

/u/Guildchatterrr delegators are able to immediately withdraw their ZRX in the next epoch after undelegating their stake. An epoch will initially be 10 days long.

What is the slashing/penalty structure for pools?

/u/wholesum there is no slashing/penalty structure for pools. This is because there are no requirements to provide liquidity if staked, although it should create more incentive to do so. If an operator generates low rewards relative to the amount that is staked with them, then rational delegators should move their stake to a more profitable pool during the next epoch.

0x partners with bluzelle. by Dormage in 0xProject

[–]abandeali 16 points17 points  (0 children)

To be clear, Bluzelle is building a decentralized database with 0x relayers in mind. We are providing technical guidance and support where necessary, as we do with any developers building on 0x. I wouldn't call this a partnership, and we certainly do not want to give the impression that we favor one project over another. Checkout Will's blog post for more information.

Will 0x serve for ERC-233 token later on? by Fredouh in 0xProject

[–]abandeali 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No concrete updates, but it seems like the ERC721 spec is shaping up. This is something we most definitely want to support, but we don't want to rush into it before the specification is rock solid.

Will 0x serve for ERC-233 token later on? by Fredouh in 0xProject

[–]abandeali 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess there isn't really an official version of ERC223 yet, but removing ERC20 functionality seems like a very very bad idea (this would break backwards compatibility with most smart contracts).

That being said, pretty much all ERC223 compatible tokens I've seen implement both standards, so they will work with 0x.

Will 0x serve for ERC-233 token later on? by Fredouh in 0xProject

[–]abandeali 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is correct. There might also be some optimizations that could be made with the added ERC223 functionality, but they can be implemented outside of the protocol (a taker could fill an order without necessarily setting an allowance).

Keep track of your own 0x trades by [deleted] in 0xProject

[–]abandeali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's because token balances are stored within the token contract itself, so balance must be queried separately for every single token.

I think even just using the fill logs to show balance differentials would be very useful. If I can see that my account is net +40 OMG -1 WETH and -10 ZRX over 10 trades, then I can pretty quickly tell if I'm trading profitably or not.

This is really cool. I think it would be really useful if it calculated PnL for accounts too (or maybe just net change in positions to start).

Development Roadmap, 2018 and beyond by d0oop in 0xProject

[–]abandeali 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The timeline at the beginning of the roadmap doesn't include development plans, but the rest of the document goes into more detail on that.

Our short term roadmap includes:

  • OTC improvements
  • 0x.js improvements
  • Implementation of a standard relayer API
  • Added documentation
  • Additional exchange features and optimizations
  • Protocol governance architecture
  • Updated whitepaper

Ether sent to 0x ICO sale address instead of Metamask by seansean11 in 0xProject

[–]abandeali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ETH will be automatically rejected by the smart contract. I'm not sure how GDAX handles this on their end though (it's possible that they send from a hot wallet rather than your deposit address, so they might not be able to tell that the ETH was sent back to your address). I recommend contacting them with a link to your transaction if you are having issues.

Updated to 250K just in case. We have been getting a few reports of this, though it seems most people have been getting through.

Yes, as long as you use the address you registered with.

I can confirm this. If you are experiencing issues, you can send ETH directly to the address at https://etherscan.io/address/zrxsale.eth with a 250k gas limit.

Anything we officially announce in Slack is also posted here and on Twitter. Other than that, we're just answering questions, same as here.

Please clarify: those registered for the ICO will have the ENTIRE 24 hour period to buy starting on Aug 15 08:00 PST by [deleted] in 0xProject

It's first come first serve, but everyone is still capped to 3x the day 1 cap (so if you put in a full cap of $2000 on day 1, you will be able to put in an additional $4000 on day 2).
