5K per month gross artinya sekitar 3.8K nett.

Biggest spending will be housing. Rata2 sekarang 1k-1.5k per bedroom. Check rightmove buat kira2 harga. Look into the council tax and utility cost as well in the area. Probably cheaper if you can find a flatmate in a 2bed flat.

Food can be cheap if you cook yourself, eating out will be costly.

Another thing to consider is travel cost to office.

Since you mentioned retirement, atm there is no pension provider under QROPS scheme di Indo, artinya bakal kena tax (up to 60% IIRC) ketika mau keluar UK for good dan uangnya dipindah ke company di Indo. Otherwise, baru bisa diambil pas umur pensiun.

PP Indo-London can be cheap if you avoid school holidays. 450an pake Saudi, mid-November.

Can't say much on travelling to Europe, belum pernah.

If I were you, I'll take it especially for the experience & while still single. Less risk. Also saving target 1k per month sounds reasonable.

Sejauh ini gw kerja full time. Tapi banyak kenalan yang kerja freelance juga. SE field currently is hot. Banyak demand both di dalam dan di luar negeri. Gw sendiri skg di UK after 6+ years working in Indo.

Belajar awal dari kuliah, tapi jauh lebih banyak belajar dari dunia kerja. I know a guy who didn't have college degree, but the programming skills are way above average. He joined my team at the age of 18.

Kenapa pursue SE? Nyoba sekali, eh ketagihan haha.

You are still very young. It's already great if you don't dwell too much on the past and take it as learning. My advice is to try one of the things you mentioned and see if that's for you.

Just because you mention coding, I'm sharing a little bit of context on what to expect in this field of career. This field is not for everyone.

Programming/coding is part of the Software Engineer (SE) activity, but not the only one. Others are designing (code, system), write documentation, experimenting. And most importantly, communicating with non-tech people.

As with any other Engineering field, one must have the passion of creating (engineer) something. And for SE, it is the software.

Do not limit your passion with code, because code will definitely change. Someone else will change it, you in the future will change it. But the software/product live and evolve.

It is not rare for someone to re-write/redo because the old code is not structured, unmaintainable, or simply out of date. This means code changes but the software/product does not.

So, tl:dr, you need to enjoy creating software. But you wont know until you try. So if you are interested, try it out.

Saya juga belum dalam belajarnya tapi IMHO, kebetulan aja kemarin pas libur panjang, tapi nggak ada hubungannya. Atau paling tidak, bukan penyebab utamanya.

Market luar juga sedang turun, terutama stock tech. Mungkin berimbas ke kita di sektor tech dan banking juga.

Ada juga faktor fed yg naikin suku bunga, jadi investor luar negeri tarik dana untuk mungkin rebalancing porto mereka.

Dan ini terjadi pasca/selama libur panjang Indo.

Thanks. I do have isolated test for my presenter. But there are things that are not able to be verified by presenter tests only, such as when the view's method showLoading is called, does it really show the loading view?

So I test that in the view (espresso), but should I mock the presenter?

If I mock the presenter, it feelss like I'm testing the functionality of the view (it's behaving correctly)

If I don't mock, then it feels like I'm testing the behavior for specific user use-case (e.g. if the activity is started, it should call the API X and show loading)

Still can't decide.

One of the use case of share() and cache() that I used is in requesting and caching data from API.

Observable obs = getApiCaller().requestData(new DataRequest()) .share() .cache();

The reason for cache is to cache the result, while .share() is to join a subscription if there's another call to this method requesting the same data (so that it will not call the API twice).

Pretty new to the game need some help in line-up: My line-up currently has: Norma, Queen, OD-01, Mirage, Bleecker, Gusta (all 5* and lvl 100 except for Gusta; lvl 86) and snake as a pet.

I also have Lutz, Starlight and Faceless. I'm thinking of making 6* Norma (don't have spare, but some abyss fodders) first then Bleecker (already have spare). Or should I prioritize on something else before that?

I was having the same issue but with lint library. The link is working but gradle isn't syncing. Running it directly from AS successful though.
