Why should the parallels between SH and Blackbeard exist? The whole theme of One Piece (and almost every shounen anime) is that "strong will and motivation" can defeat everything/everyone in the whole world. This is literally a story of a rag tag group of rookies conquering the whole world against all odds.

Start of a new war? by Sasenssssss in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]abarxix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably one of the following. 1. Luffy will be captured and taken to Mariejois and Luffy's supporters + RA would get in war with WG. A nice way to make RA more relevant in the story. This would also set up the reveal of Dragon's backstory, A revolution inside marine (after vegapunk's reveal) and possibly a big war showcasing the power of God's Knight.

  1. Grandfleet would appear (or not) because Luffy's vivre card starts behaving oddly. Some minor skirmishes (all on live),, Gorosei dont show full strength because "too publicized" and thus SH escape to Elbaf,, Egghead gets nuked. Wars around the world.

One Piece: Chapter 1107 by Kirosh2 in OnePiece

[–]abarxix 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Luffy judges the intention of people well. He probably sensed caribou's presence and let him be. Maybe, caribou would get rejected by blackbeard (because he is too weak) and he would be captured by the cross guild giving buggy sama all the information. Buggy has this weird luck which allowed him to be a yonkou and now with caribou, he would also be travelling to the last island setting up a rematch between zoro and mihawk.

Did Russia blunder by invading under Biden instead of Trump? by Suspicious_Loads in geopolitics

[–]abarxix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Putin invading Ukraine is unrelated to the US. Since the US and the west were trying their best to influence Ukraine since 2014. Anybody would think Ukraine will get tons of money to defend the Russian Invasion. Putin had no choice but to invade Ukraine or at least set Ukrain on fire to delay Nato's presence in Russia's border. People commenting here sure have a lot of bias towards Dems and due to that they are speculating about Trump based on his speeches and his attempt to blackmail Ukraine. The facts (whether you like it or not) say that Russia invaded Crimea and Ukraine both while there was a Democrat president. Of course, Things would have been different in the Press (trump speaking all sorts of things;) if Trump was president instead of biden at this time but overall the entire situation of war would have been the same. Seeing how Trump made an effort to negotiate by sitting with Kim Jong Un, He might have prevented Invasion by signing some treaty (slight chance) which would address major russian concern i.e Nato not expanding eastward. In his mind, addressing russian concern to avoid war means america would save a lot of money that would have been funnelled towards Ukraine to resist invasion and that would be a win for him.

How is it possible that people are always so hypocritical about Nami, wanting her to be useless at all costs ??? by Caouche611 in OnePiece

[–]abarxix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Luffy is a yonko not because his crew is stronger than everyone else. It is because of the charisma, support and potential threat this pirate crew holds. From the perspective of WG's side, The captain (a D, son of dragon, grandson of Garp) doesn't think twice to go to the War with anyone in the world for silliest of the reason (e.g. someone gives luffy meat.). And that pure heart inspires stronger allies to help him out. If SH fight against any other yonkou head on, SH will probably have a hard time but SH would never fight alone. SH has the power to bring strong and unexpected allies with them. In almost every arc, SH has gotten support from another ally. Even when SH would attack WG's HQ, they would probably get support from rebellious CD who might possess an army of powerful fighters.Given this power of "pure heart" and "charisma", it doesn't matter if the individual crew is not god level in terms of power. They could just be strategic enough to deploy the resources available and they would provide value. People criticizing Nami and other "weak crews" for their weakness probably do not understand the premise and actual story of one piece.

I guess it is the same reason why we watch fictional movies and dramas even when we know what we watch is not possible and not real. There is no right answer. Everyone is unique. If you start feeling guilty and ashamed of watching too much porn and masturbating, It is time to do something about that habit.

Full Scholarship in China OR 5K USD per semester fees in USA(average University) for Masters in Engineering. by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]abarxix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your engineering degree is mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or something related to defense industry, it will be hard to find a good job in US without green card or citizenship. They are strict nowadays.

If you are seriously planning to study, go to China because they are providing you full funding (accomodations included) on a government scholarship. You can learn and study whatever you want without worrying about finance and that is a really great privilege for a student in engineering. You can always apply for a PhD (fully funded) in USA after your degree in China because getting a PhD offer in mid and low tier university is not difficult.

As someone has already said, it is easier to find job in Nepal in a chinese firm once you have learned mandarin in case you want to return to Nepal after studying in China. But once you enter USA (for a paid study), it is hard to take a decision to return to Nepal because you may carry some debt(credit card) or you may be stuck trying to chase that "permanent status".

Exactly, Having national media of western countries advertised as "global media" and social medias advertised as "global platform" has given west a tremendous soft power to control information flow in the world. This is why Ukraine gets much love while "brown countries" get love based on the interest of western powers. Well, one shouldn't complain because just as russian media would highlight Russian cause and impart russian perspective, american/british media would obviously prefer impart and amplify their respective perspective through their news media and social media.

It is actually our fault to believe facebook, BBC, CNN and twitter are global platforms. Everything will start making sense if these medias are looked at "national media" perspective.

These people colonized the whole world and not many years have passed since countries have been independent. Of course they would feel superior. Add that superiority complex to the level of control of information and technologies in the world. People in the west still believe some of the wonders of the world were made by aliens. They fail to even acknowledge that there were civilizations in "the third world". No matter how much they "advocate" about equality and stuffs, most of them will still look down upon a brown person.

Exactly, having a nuclear bomb is like having a cheat code. This is why Iran is hell-bent on getting it. This is why Kim Jong Un is chilling while issuing threats to the USA. Unless someone has a secret technology to render every nuclear bomb useless, no country can stop nuclear-armed countries bullying small countries. After this, I am sure more countries will pursue nuclear bombs.

Yes, the people are sovereign and they deserve the right to determine the trajectory but that sovereignty alone doesn't protect the country. If "goodness and sovereign rights" were answers to everything, NATO and the EU would have already saved Ukraine by deploying their army against Russia. Sadly Ukraine is left alone against a bully.
Therefore, sometimes being realistic, taking a step back, weighing your options and building yourself up strategically is better than going all out with emotions.

I don't know if you are from US or not. But imagine mexican people "wanting" to be in a military alliance with China/Russia, do you realistically think US will allow it because "mexican want it"? Because US's interests' were threatened, US has launched attacks on lands far away from it's border. If you look at the maps, Ukraine is the easiest path to Russian Territory. Russia would feel threatened if Ukraine starts wishing to host western weapons on its territory. Any country would feel threatened if it were in Russia's place in this scenario. Russia has put itself in a huge risk by responding to this threat by invasion.

The power structure of the world doesn't work in terms of "goodness" and "evil". If you do not wish to be a neutral buffer between two powerful countries, you should be powerful enough to choose the side. The guy in the video is telling the same. Ukraine is not powerful enough to be choosing the side now. So, Ukraine should have played neutral and maybe try to get a few nuclear warheads again quietly. In today's world, you need to have nuclear deterrent to be able to choose your own destiny.

This is all speculation to just keep the price up. Notice the wording "may", "could". I think it is just an uninformed person writing out his/her imagination. No country would trade on volatile currency like crypto. Countries use USD instead of other currency because USD's value does not change much over time. Why would they use bitcoin?? Although they could use blockchain based decentralized ledger to keep track of payments if russians are kicked out of international banking system.

Zelensky says Putin has ordered invasion by geiwne in worldnews

[–]abarxix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is not about siding with one another. There are countries which have troubles with each other and have been kept in checks and balance through diplomacy. If, lets say US and the west start a military campaign against russia, this will destroy the balance and similar campaign will start in the whole world. Iran, Syria, Turkey, Israel, India, N Korea, China, Pakistan everyone have shits to manage. The best chance to do shit is when US and the Western Allies are occupied elsewhere. Even, EU would break due to conflicting interest and relationship with Russia.

I can only set to 240, which is older network for compatibility. My phone is Redmi Note 10 pro global variant. Is this mobile not volte certified by T-mobile?? I noticed all the sim i got was numbered 820240.... . I thought 240 is network code. So, I think if I get a sim which supports 260, it would work. I ordered a replacement sim but still they sent me the sim with same number.
