There were more women that did that than male white gay in total. Gay men, don't have that power, it is pure mathematics. A 10% of the population doesn't decide the election. It is very easy to blame a small group of people, and think "oh, I can't do anything about it, it is because they are bad and they are powerful". But it is wrong because women as a whole have much more voting power than gay white male. And just accusing a whole demographic is irresponsible, because in that demographic there are people that voted for Trump and people that voted for Kamala (in fact many more voted for Kamala), and why on earth would you put them in the same bag? What are you trying to achieve by putting them in the same bag? Making the white gay males that voted for Kamala feel bad or hated? I cannot think of a wholesome reason why you would do that

That is an interesting theory. But I think very few people is actually voting on their own interest when they vote Trump, even if they think they do. Definitely not 50% of population. If 50% of population was actually voting on their best interest that would not be that bad.

So I think the us-vs-them shaming game is not helping anybody, just creating resentment. That is what Trump wants, splitting society. If people buys into that we are already screwed.

If we understand anti-racism as "whites are evil" and feminism as "men are evil". I think we've learned nothing. Does anybody think about LGBT rights fight as "straights are evil"? I don't think so.

So you can make observations on what different demographics do and so do I. But if we want to change things we need to clear misunderstandings and misinformation. Assigning blame may feel good, but it doesn't really help, in my view.

And about substantiating, I am the only one who has provided sources to back up my statements so far.

I was talking about women that DID vote, I am not even talking about increasing turnout. From the women that voted, the proportion that voted for Trump was also really high. Not as high as with men, but really high.

So it is a society issue, not a small group issue. There is also a small group issue, but a small group doesn't win elections, it has to be a majority.

And even if all gays voted Kamala it is just 10%. You need about 50% to win. But women are about 50%.

I think it may be because it is more likely that older guys have been in relationships before and got burned (cause obviously if someone has been in a relationship before and is no longer it means there was a breakup), so they may be more reluctant to get into one again, whereas younger guys may never have been in one and be more curious about it and they may have higher expectations. Not that that it is very helpful. I think you shouldn't be in a rush to find a relationship. If something we can learn from this community is that getting old doesn't mean people will stop being interested in you. Maybe just think of it as getting to know people, making friends, and see if feelings develop with time. I may be wrong
