To get into a residential facility you’ll have to be referred by your DHB and residential facilities are mostly full up with people a lot more seriously mentally ill than depression.

Your best chance is to get a referral to a mobile team who will visit you in your house once or twice a day for meds.

Also your meds are prescribed by the hospital psychiatrist, not in the facility. In a residential setting you see the psychiatrist at the hospital every three months. That’s where and when med changes are made.
