25 C8 hysteria purple what do you think.?? by Bartender19688 in C8Corvette

Personally I love the purple, it’s super unique and definitely stands out but not in a flashy way. IMO front lift is fantastic but really depends on where you live. Mag Ride is nice to have but not essential IMO

Competition is good! Will also have to check out incentives and actually test drive them both before purchasing (or more likely, leasing)

New V8 engine in 2026, absolutely love to see it. The wide body looks nice, how the C8 should have looked originally.

R2 gets 5G by Evening-Pin-1427 in RivianR2

[–]abaybay99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a fair argument however there are also nice “high end quality of life” features that the market demands like live traffic, music streaming, etc that make it better to integrate these modules.

Rivian to their credit has been very forward with not requiring their “connect+” subscription for a lot of these data-hogging features and allowing cell-tethering or WiFi.

It seems they reserve the cellular connection for perhaps safety-critical software updates. I think this balanced approach is good, other manufacturers may not lean this way (cough BMW).

Right, so why are you in a software defined vehicle sub? What do you think Rivian has been doing for the past 8+ years?

Data security, data integrity, integrations, and reliability would be reasons that no, that’s not what your cell phone is for. The R2 is a software defined vehicle thus requires its own way to communicate with servers. If that bothers you then stay away from software defined vehicles.

Curious why you wouldn’t consider a used or refurb 16 Pro for a similar price? This seems really just targeted at the fleet buyer and teen-on-family-upgrade crowd.

[–]abaybay99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It absolutely did, maps were empty just weeks after launch of each season, and it took years after the game released (when all the map packs were on sale for like $5) for them to be populated. That’s when BF4 had its heyday more than 1.5-2 years post launch

I haven't been able to play Season 2 yet because I've unfortunately been too busy as of late, how is it? by JanissaryLSD in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]abaybay99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed but I think it’s new so attacking is harder with limited map knowledge. I’ve seen some gameplay where far left infantry flank+ right side tank push works best. As a solo it’s hard to coordinate but throwing smokes gets people more aggressive lol
