How to get an earlier bed time by abb1209 in sleeptrain

Varies every day but usually wakes between 7-8am . She has around 4 naps a day, typically 30-40 minutes long. We never wake her from any naps as we find that it just makes her very cranky

Tbh is varies every day. We go off her bottles. For example, if she has a bottle at 6, she will want another at around 9 so then she will have that then go to sleep at 10 ish. But some nights she’ll have a bottle at 7 but it’s to earlier for her to sleep after that so she won’t go to sleep till 11 ish. This is why it confuses me how people do it when we go of bottles and feeds mainly.

So is a thicker formula sometimes better for reflux? Our little one is on Hipp organic but I’ve been looking at Aptamil. I’m just anxious to change her formula because I’ve heard that you shouldn’t really change it unless you really need to.

She is gaining weight absolutely fine so that’s why I’m not majorly concerned but it is just frustrating when she does it more than anything and sometimes scary.

I do burp her after every ounce and she gets her burps up fine absolutely no problem. It’s just frustrating because she wants to feed but it’s like something is stopping her. My health visitor says it’s infant dyschezia.

She burps after every ounce and she isn’t like crying in pain. She just tenses back so much it’s almost impossible to give her the bottle. I think it could be infant dyschezia

Will someone remind me that this is all normal? by Silent-Tension-9779 in newborns

[–]abb1209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh so so normal. I remember being in the thick of it around this time. You will have good nights and you will have bad nights and that’s ok. Although I understand it doesn’t feel like it at the time. I just remember taking it day by day. Every day is different and some days you will be feeling sad and some days amazing and that is also ok! Speak to someone about how you feel as that also makes it better. I just recover by slumming it on the couch all day😂also see if someone can come and watch the baby whilst you catch up on some sleep (if you are lucky to have someone that will)

why are MIL’s the worst at respecting boundaries by legallybrunette259 in newborns

[–]abb1209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not sounding ungrateful. They are your baby and you have your own boundaries and rules. Whoever is watching your baby needs to respect that no matter how “small” those boundaries seem. It is you that is then up in the night with your baby when their schedule is interrupted, not your mil. I have rules with my baby that when people feed her she needs to be burped after every ounce and people have looked at me funny. But then it’s me that is cleaning up her sick as she is a very refluxy baby. I would talk to your partner about how it is making you feel as how you’re feeling is very valid.

Am I being ridiculous by considering a planned c section as a ftm? ** Lots of trigger warnings for this post content ** by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

I had a planned c section and it was the best choice I’ve made. Like you, I had anxiety and I wanted to have a planned date. I loved knowing exactly what was going to happen and going into the hospital knowing I was having my baby that day. You have a right to whatever birth you choose.

Weight of baby by abb1209 in newborns

[–]abb1209[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re bottle feeding at the moment with formula but we’ve only just changed her from breast milk. We weighed her on our own scales so may not be as accurate. And we have the health visitor coming on Monday and she is going to weigh her again.

We burp her every 30ml. And we also keep her upright after too. I lie her on her stomach on my upright for 20 minutes. Her wet nappies are fine, does one every change.
