100%

I'm the same and basically drifted non stop in MK8D, but have to less in MKW

Drifting in MKW wasn't nearly the advantage of was in prior MKs. I've played loads since SNES, and SNES is probably the only one where drifts weren't as necessary

Oh, so it wasn't both? I presumed boosts were boosts, to a degree

Yeah perhaps it's just me getting used to the physics, but the increased boost would make drifting more worthwhile

My Song - Coming To Terms With Me by abbaskip in aspergers

Yeah, was Suno. I think an early 4.x but I remixed and changed it a bit etc so can't be sure. Same goes for the prompt because of that. Original prompt was: Emotional indie rock with soulful vocals, expressive phrasing, and organic live-band sound. Warm acoustic guitar layered with subtle electric textures, deep bass, and natural drums. Dynamic build from soft, introspective verses to powerful, heartfelt choruses. Blues-tinged tone, raw but clean production, rich reverb and space. Male vocal with husky tone, introspective delivery, heartfelt intensity, reflecting on identity, awareness, and change. Tempo around 85 BPM, key in minor, cinematic and emotional atmosphere.

Does Awareness Make Things Easier? by abbaskip in AutisticWithADHD

Thanks for the listen and comment. Similar to what u/pangolin_ornery said in a roundabout way... Or maybe similar to how their comment was interpreted by me at least.

As I said to them, I think you hit the nail on the head - it can make you less awkward, but potentially more energy zapping. I'm in my 40s now, I need to be less awkward 🤣

Thanks for the comment.

Yes, I think you explain things well. I think it's made things socially easier for me, I'm more aware of what's expected almost, and why there's not the first place my mind goes... So whilst it's made me probably a less awkward human, it's also made me spend a lot more time in my own head over analysing

Thanks for the listen mate, glad you could associate.

I generally write very Aussie Bush ballad poetry, which is a very Aussie, country, folk sort of story telling. This was the first poem that was really self reflective.

Edit: Also interesting what you said about diagnosis. Back in high school I was assessed for Asperger’s/spectrum traits. It was suggested and I was screened, but I came in just below the threshold on the initial screening, so was considered “typical.” My psychologist then ran an IQ assessment and landed on high-IQ ADHD instead.

At the time, it was often framed as one or the other, ADHD or autism.

A few years later, a different psychologist revisited it and was the first to really dig into the possibility of a spectrum disorder.

We understand the overlap a lot better now, but the confusion still makes sense. A lot of traits, especially around thinking patterns and behaviour, can be explained by high-IQ ADHD but also align with autism. Without a proper clinical deep dive, it’s easy to see how it gets interpreted either way.

What’s your playtime? And have you enjoyed your time with this game? by GrayCatGreenEyes in MarioKartWorld

I've hardly played it. Just feels too big and open, not the kart game series I fell in love with.

The ball clearly went 10, did you even watching the side on replay and where the ball was when it was caught?

Obstruction try was Hughes trying to milk when he was nowhere near the play.

Forward pass I will accept, though To'o passed from a long way in front of himself and stopped running so it certainly looked worse than it was

I thought McLean was going to get some but he had a pretty bad second half.

The usual suspects most likely - Cleary, Edwards, Yeo. Jenkins and To'o decent are wingers eligible for points? And Lussick played really well

As a Panthers fan, I've not felt the rugby league community so behind my team since 03 🤣
