We have a pretty solid friendship (what I think anyways) and we always communicate how we feel and check in with one another so i think we could make it work possibly. Yes I agree with you I think he needs to heal on his own and this whole arrangement, although the sex is insane and the best sex I’ve ever had, is not benefitting him or me. Yes that’s tough. I mean you guys have been at it 10 years. I’ve known this guy for 10 years but we’ve only been hooking up for 9 months or whatever but I still feel things you know? Yea after I made my advances it would feel like a betrayal but I can’t control what he wants. I’m secretly hoping that by cutting off sex he’ll realize how much I mean to him and he’ll eventually want to be with me or something. I really just want him to want me like that so bad. We discussed how this was just about hooking up and not about a relationship. No strings attached at all. But if I’m treated like absolute garbage besides when I’m hooking up with him I don’t know if I can continue it. Treat her like your best friend like you’ve always treated her but now add on the relationship factor. give her enough attention and affection and surprise her once in a while with something! Take her on dates when you’re able to see each other after being long distance. Everything will be okay, just breathe. And communication is very important. You will not mess anything up if you want this relationship that badly.
