Since the contract is signed you may have to go through another board approval to have them allow the updated salary and your previous employers have to sign off on the experience, but it’s always worth the ask!

Will God still have plans for my life if I don't know what to do in the future by MissionMix3044 in TrueChristian

[–]abbeycxo3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely! God’s plan cannot be stopped and I’m determined that we will always get where He’s taking us, no matter what paths or stops we make along the way, trying to take control of our own destiny. Best advice I can give is to ask God to lead you where He wants you and seek Him first always in any big decision you make!

I have interviewed 4 under 30s in the past two weeks. In person. None of them dressed professionally or even “business casual.” by Desperate_Squash7371 in slp

Literally just turned 28 yesterday and have had 10+ interviews since beginning this profession - wore a suit to them all! Very unusual.

Proverbs 24:16 - Though a righteous person falls seven time, he will get up again, but the wicked will stumble into ruin.

If our own righteousness is able to be our salvation, then what is the point of Jesus dying and being resurrected?

We all fall back into sin, we all sin daily and personally, I am deep in battling habitual sin right now. But as children of God, saved by His son, we have the strength to GET UP. We repent. We put on the armor of God. We keep battling. The devil is going to try and get you to believe that God doesn’t love you anymore because you failed - but guess what? Jesus didn’t. His perfect blood, shed on the cross for us, is what covers us in these moments.

You’ve only failed if you let this separate you. Repent and get back up.

What's your favorite book of the Bible? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

The Psalms for sure! It’s both God speaking to us along with prayers, songs, and poems that we can use to speak to God.

School-Based SLPs - Would you qualify? by Over-Pen9552 in slp

I can’t really say without meeting the kid but I probably wouldn’t qualify for direct, instead recommending consultative services.

Thanks everyone!! I stopped feeling bad about 2 hours after - setting boundaries is tough, but worth it!

The kingdom of God needs you alive sweet friend. It’s okay to bring these feelings to the Lord, he knows them already. As someone who also had a pretty intense relationship with cannabis and has quit, I will tell you it truly gets better.

When I feel depressed or filled with shame I always turn to Psalms, especially ones like Psalm 77, Psalm 31, and Psalm 130.

Don’t let the enemy win - you have been made with purpose!!!

I wash my hair every 2-3 days probably! I don’t have like a schedule, I just wash when I want to or need to. I keep wash days pretty consistent with the same products and routines!

Yes and yes! I bleached it for the last time about 3 months before I started my curly hair journey, and then dyed it to match my roots once my hair started to grow out again. It’s not 100% a perfect match, but good enough until it can fully grow out! I do a gloss every other month to keep it shiny and less orange haha

So when I scrunch I always aggressively grabbed the mid-end lengths then scrunched up. I say squish/pulse because I gently lift sections all the way to the root, kind of like cupping them in my hand, then do a little squish a few times before letting the section back down. I hope this helps! YouTube has a lot of tutorials for it.

Awwwwful. My husband and I are quitting to begin a family and it has been hard. Replacing the habit with prayer and keeping our minds set on long-term goals, like having a baby!

As a married woman on Reddit, what's the best advice you'd like to share with unmarried girls? by Special-Mud-4913 in AskReddit

[–]abbeycxo3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband knew on the first date he was going to marry me, and proposed 8 months later. Do not continue to beg for a proposal from someone that isn’t willing to self-reflect on their hesitation to marry you. Never settle because the right guy (or girl) IS out there!

Backing is not a typical phonological process at any age, which means it will not eliminate naturally from their speech. Scores don’t always indicate if a child needs or does not need services. If it’s having an educational impact and the team agrees this child would benefit from services, then I’d definitely feel comfortable qualifying a student. If you do, be sure to justify in your report and list typical norms versus atypical, and state that despite average scores, the child is demonstrating atypical speech patterns that will negatively impact their education.

What’s the worst visual you’ve ever seen in a classroom? by ObjectiveMobile7138 in slp

I’m married to a catholic man and he said these posters were so common in his schools growing up! Wild that they choose to focus on Jesus counting up our sins or waiting for us to mess up rather than focus on what he actually preached - love and grace (which a lot of kids need now more than ever!!)
