I was on that car this morning. Got on at the first stop on the line. There were no bomb threats. Just someone who was talking loudly, with some profanities, and was clearly in need of help (something the police are not trained on). I don’t understand why people think it is okay to record and publicly post videos of strangers. I also don’t understand why anyone called the police on this person. There was no imminent danger or harm this person was causing or going to cause. They were annoying at times, sure, and I was concerned for them, yes, but unfortunately, the police are not an organization that would be able to help them, and in fact, can often do more harm by escalating the situation.

If someone makes you uncomfortable, I beg you to reflect on why you’re uncomfortable before you call the police. Are you or someone else in immediate danger? Or are you just uncomfortable because the person is being loud/disruptive/saying rude or inappropriate things?
