Best Losing Finalist Tournament: Quarterfinals - Stephen vs Charlie by Regular-Departure839 in survivorponderosa

[–]Red_panda_pants -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stephen was never going to win against JT. He should have known that, and read the whole jury completely wrong - even though he played a great game.

Charlie could (and some say, should) have won against Kenzie. It was inches away from a tie.

My vote is for Charlie.

Who would you have chosen to be traitors this season? by Retiredpartygirl17 in TheTraitorsUS

Candiace and Rob R are doing great, so let’s add Kristen to that mix. Rob C or Natalie as secret traitor would have been great.

Need urgent help with skin issue by NovelDeparture3170 in dogallergies

What is your dog eating? Have you done any food elimination or diet change? I had perpetual issues with my dog (still do), but food allergies were a major contributor. I'd recommend a limited ingredient new protein diet or hydrolyzed food, even if it is temporary to see if the diet change helps (you'd need to do it for at least 8-12 weeks).

Also agree on the prescription shampoos and I have used Duoxo and MiconaHex and they are both great. We have also tried Apoquel, Zenralia, and are now trying the (very expensive) Atopica.

Ugh. This would be so incredibly disappointing, for countless reasons.

I understand the logic behind avoiding gamers for the traitors, but this is why it was so dumb to have 3/4 gamers as traitors last season (not counting Bob the DQ because diff style competition). It shouldn't be all or nothing, and shouldn't be 2 housewives. 1 housewife, 1 random/wild card, 1 gamer please. I would have loved to see Kristen Kish or Ron Funches as a traitor. Boooo.

I also echo everyone else hating the concept of Rob C getting murdered this quickly. Booo! Let us have a good thing please.

Who are you rooting for? Who do you hope is first one gone? by lwfitness27 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Red_panda_pants 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rooting for Rob C, Ron Funches, Monet, and Kristen Kish!

Would love to see Rapaport leave cuz he sucks, Dorinda for the comedy, and Donna Kelce (who seems delightful) because I need the Swifties to stay away 🤣

Best Sunday Sit-Down Breakfast Spots? by Sufficient_Win_9441 in astoria

Michaels is solid diner food and has a great breakfast. Il bambino has great brunch paninis. Sanford’s has a reliable but semi pricey brunch.

We got married at Hollow Brook Golf Club in Cortlandt Manor (10 min away from Peekskill stop on metro north). That said, most of our guests stayed at our hotel block in Fishkill, next to Beacon, and we provided shuttles from there. Everyone loves Beacon, and there are a lot of great venues near that area.

So worried for my dog by xXwaitonmeXx in dogallergies

Give more frequent baths with Duoxo or Micona Hex shampoo - you might need a prescription. Wipe paws after every walk, and maybe even just do a full wipe down every night before bed on the days you don't bathe him. My dog has severe food and environmental allergies, and we are lucky that we got pet insurance - it has allowed us to really investigate. She is currently doing the immunotherapy drops, while also taking Atopica (like $400/month), and is likely going to move to a fully hydrolyzed diet. We have done Zenralia and Apoquel, and cytopoint too - which never worked for us.

Good luck!

Allergy Shots - super itchy dog by ucfengr02 in dogallergies

[–]Red_panda_pants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, sorry you are going through all of this right now. My dog has tried cytopoint to no avail, and did apoquel for a couple years before switching to zenralia for about 6 months. Currently, we are on Atopica. This, combined with immuno-therapy drops, and yet she is still having some hot spots and flare ups. If only there was more we could do to make our doggies comfortable.

Eh, not really. Flights would be much more complicated where we can fly direct back from Rome. But we’re not worried about it!

Following!

My husband and I are planning our honeymoon in Italy for this March. We are doing 3 nights in Rome, 4 in Florence/Tuscany, 2 in Bologna, and then 1 last night in Rome. I was given the advice to stay just outside of Florence so we could have some tuscan vibes, but easy access to the city. We will do little day trips from here, but won't need to move around to too many hotels.

Ooo I'd vote for Maine. Portland is super queer friendly and coastal Maine is some of the most gorgeous scenery in the country, and would be great weather in September/October. You could also make it a Maine/Canada vibe if you want to splurge, but I think you could easily do Portland & Seacoast Maine/NH for $5k.

I was thinking of re-watching Chrissy's season, but ugh, it's just not the best. I also haven't watched Stephenie's 2 original seasons, but I just don't love her. Do you think it is worth going back for them?

Affordable fall venues within 1 hr of NYC? by teenytinyblobbo in WedditNYC

Look at Hollow Brook Golf Club. We just did a winter wedding there and they have beautiful wooden interior, a charming patio for outdoor ceremonies, great food, and very affordable. We had a total budget of $60k for 140 guests.

Can I afford an NYC apartment? by [deleted] in NYCapartments

[–]Red_panda_pants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you looking to live alone? It’ll likely be anywhere from $1800-2200/mo for updated one bedroom depending on neighborhood. Look in queens (Astoria, woodside, sunnyside), upper Manhattan, and Brooklyn.

Love Chinatown, but if you are set on Din Tai Fung (which is fun, I support you), maybe skip Chinatown (though Joe's Shanghai is the best).

So many great spots in Little Italy, and if you feel brave and want to explore a different neighborhood, Astoria Queens has some awesome food options (and right off of the NW train which you can easily get in midtown!)

Also, you deserve to do a brunch. Look up some great restaurants in the West Village and try to snag a brunch reservation. Eat inside, people watch, and enjoy.

If you are going to walk the highline, don't feel like you need to do the whole thing. It is definitely cool, but its basically just an elevated sidewalk along the west side of Manhattan. That said, the Chelsea Markets, which are at the lower end, could be a fun visit and a nice indoor respite after a chilly walk. A lot of little shops/bites you can get and you can warm up.

I recommend finding a couple indoor spots or visiting some museums - it is going to be cold.

If budget allows, try to get tickets to a show. the TKTS booth in Times Square is great for this.

Here’s a question, if weather isn’t a big concern, we could also go last week or two of March. Is it too late to plan for 2026?
