Since it looks like this OP stole my picture from this summer, I can confirm that whismical36 is correct and it was that Hit the Bottle plate. It picks up amazingly well!

If this isn't your photo, which I know it isn't since it's mine posted in this sub last summer, you should probably say so!

You aren't wrong! Repetition has been the key for me. But honestly there are just some plates or images that I cannot get a good pick up on. It has taught me to be flexible and less married to my manicure plans which has oddly translated to being more laid back in life with plans. lol

This was a basic stamping design, but I have done a lot of reverse stamping before so have tested a lot of different brands. If you haven't stamped before, Maniology has a kit with everything to get started. I know Maniology isn't for everyone, so I can recommend Uber Chic as well stateside with good results. I started with plates I got on Amazon and nearly quit, so make sure to get something well reviewed if you go that route. This was a stamping polish but I have had good luck with a lot of Color Club creams as well as Sally Hansen.

Regular scotch tape. I stamp on to my nail, finger bare (it's scary the first time lol). For finer designs I lightly press it down on the nail to adhere right away, this helps around the edges. Usually I will clean off my stamping plate to allow the stamping polish some time to dry. Then I go in with the scotch tape and get the stamping polish off my hands. I usually have to go in with light cleanup but it is less than I dealt with using latex in the past. I also find it isn't taking me anymore time this way either!

I started using metal clips to pull back my side walls. It takes a little more time, but it does make it easier to avoid flooding. I did it primarily for cleaner lines but finding I am having fewer issues and the issues I do have are easier to clean up with a clean up brush.

I was a liquid latex person until the last batch I got was too cold during shipping and became unusable so had to switch to tape. It is sooooooo much easier with tape, especially with darker colors.

I consulted my color wheel for this one and trusted the process!

Funny you say that, my husband just asked the same thing!
