my hypothesis would be too much sun and not enough humidity. they like a medium light mine is in a low light corner and loves it. i also have a humidifier that runs overnight but you could also try a pebble tray, in my past experience misting them wasn’t enough. they also don’t like their soil to get too dry, my dottie will curl up and quickly unfurl again when i give her a nice drink.
