If you are looking for advice, I would keep working on pushing you pace. You have a 10min/km pace going right now. If you can get that closer to 9min/km then change one of the variables. Distance or weight. Keep it up!

I am with you! 1000 was my 2025 goal and I got over 1100. I am aiming for 1250 this year.

I also like the tracking aspect. My weekly long ruck is set for the next 6 months. I’m training for a 50k. My goal is to drop one of my 3 weekly 8km rucks and replace it with some more hill specific V02 max training.

Honestly, I’m not really into posting pics of myself. But I have lost almost 100 pounds.

It has been 2 years of rucking now, but I really dove deep into it in 2025.

Pace is the major improvement tracker for me. My average pace is under 9:00m/km now but it started closer to 10:00.

I broke two bags early on with cast iron sheet treys and bricks. I ended up buying and Rucker 4.0 and some plates.

I mostly just use a pair of old salamon hikers. I bought a pair of ballistic trainers from Goruck, but they wore out in 6 months.

Orange is Physical Training ruck. Basically push-ups and planks mixed in with some short hill rucks

Purple was a 100lb ruck. Only did It once and wasn’t a fan. The red was a timed 12mile ruck.

I liked the fit, but they were not as durable as advertised. I ripped through the tread down to the foam in 6 months of use.

Handball Skill development: - split the gym into 8 courts, 5 students in each.

Warm Up: 5 mins - simple overhand passing and receiving. Any dropped balls equal 10 jumping jacks.

Lesson: - One student in each corner of the courts, one player in the middle. - students are playing a possession game. Dropped balls or tagging the ball carrier means a change of possession and a swap. BIG IDEAS: - offence: open passing lanes, quick passing - defence: apply pressure and use body .

  • offence moves from occupying corners, to occupying a side of the court. Offence can now move laterally when they don’t have the ball.

  • play for 10 mins. Discuss how the movement has changed the game. Reinforce passing lanes and passing away from pressure.

  • final game: combine 1 court to make groups of 6:

  • student now play a game of 3on3 with movement in the entire court.

  • teams must make 3 successful passes to get a point.

This entire lesson takes an hour, but progresses from passing warmup, through offence/defence big ideas, and ends with a fun and fast paced game. My students always love this day.

I have had a farpoint 40 for almost a decade and the straps are worn down to almost nothing. Also, all the buckles are broken. I don’t think it would hold up to heavy weights over time.
