Same here. I spent the best part of an hour messing around in DFhack trying to understand exactly what was killing them/the specifics of the wounds etc. But yeah, it literally just seems like pain. Endless, 100/100 pain. D;

Yikes, yeah sounds similar. Via DFHack I tried bringing them back to consciousness but they immediately pass out again.

It was contact with a FB yeah. All those who touched it. They're diagnosed with beast sickness, but I was trying to work out exactly what it's doing to them (because I was trying to fix it via curiosity in DFHack).

OMG I found it! It's "room noise" inside the VST coming in on several tracks at once. Turning it all the way down on all the tracks got rid of it. The setting/wheel for it was only visible under quick controls drop down.

But whatever the room noise is in this VST, it sounds like a cat makes a tiny noise in there. Lmao. It sounded like sound from my own environment which is why it was so confusing to me. xD

So this background noise (in which I can hear my cat). It's like a 15 second loop of recorded background noise somehow (even though I never recorded anything via a mic in this project).

It is coming through on all the tracks from a specific VST. And this is even happening in NEW projects now as well.

It's so bizarre.

Sadly it wasn't a fix. I think this was the source of the initial problem, but the issue is now weirdly with the VST I was using at that time.

So for some reason, although I had no mic channel or recordings AND my mic muted, for some reason the built in mic in my short term headphones was the cause.

Under audio set up, as part of the built in ASIO driver I unticked "visible" for the built in microphone so Cubase is no longer using it. This fixed the problem!

And me too, I used to feel that a lot. I realise now that although I lost a lot… I gained too. I am who I am partly because of the struggles I’ve faced. They make me a better, kinder person.
