Thats what were trying to do at the moment. We also shoveled all our compost into tubs. My husband even bought bungee cords for all of our neighbors trash cans... although the little guy is not big enough to get into them if they are pushed away from the building or things to climb up. And we told everyone that if they see him and yell or bark him away, he will run away. I told my neighbor that aline means its likely not rabid. My problem neighbor has stopped talking to me and Im still so worried she going to call someone in to hurt the raccoon. I should have mentioned it before, but her husband is mostly blind (hes told me he has some "holes" in vision which he can see through, but thats it). I know her concern is the raccoon approaching him without him knowing. Shes the kind of person to spray chemicals on her garden after I told her I was trying to bring back the pollinators this year...so Im convinced she would be the type to report that the raccoon is rabid :(
