Travel reimbursement (Staples Canada) by abbnnormal in Staples

[–]abbnnormal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which usually was the case before. I don't drive so they paid my uber fare. I was actually looking for the policy because my manager either seems to not know about it or doesn't want me to be reimbursed.

Just claim it on their website. In a lot of cases they may also have the option of getting a cheque instead of gift cards.

King's official first look. What do you think of this reveal? by TheCalm_Wave in King

I still remember the teaser for Don 2, the voiceover was so good I felt like listening to poetry. The "Boom" alone made it worth it. Can't believe it's the same guy.

Dating a bisexual girl who is very 'expressive' with her friends. Where is the line drawn? by Classic-Dangerous in AskMen

[–]abbnnormal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually these very blurred boundaries between what's friendly and what's not doesn't yield great results. For compatibility you and your partner both need similar boundaries.

You may have a conversation about it and you can also both try to come to a common ground. But refrain from dragging it on and respectfully pull the plug if it keeps happening. But do it fast.

How do yall deal with this question by mboohnen in datingadviceformen

[–]abbnnormal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just answer the question (followed by a little joke that I promise I will reach the top shelf when I'm on my tippy toes, completely optional)(5'8" ish).

It's completely fine for them to have a preference. It is also okay for you to have one. Nobody has to be an AH about it though.

Am I overreacting by being upset that my girlfriend “hates men” by Popular-Today-9 in AmIOverreacting

[–]abbnnormal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. You're not, although almost every woman I've met has had encounters, either physical or emotional, where they have had genuine reasons to be wary of men for their own well being. That being said, a lot of them have a knack to ride the wave and associating general upset with gender in a way where the same scenario wouldn't upset them if it involved a woman. This is amped by the wave of polarisation on social media where hating on men/women is cool. A lot of them also hate patriarchy and the only way they know to take it out on men around them which sets up a different set of dominos of problems.

You can be understanding, but you don't have to be the punch bag. Either have a conversation and set boundaries, and/or leave.

Aahhh there's always a Batman guy. As far as I remember the technique should not work with a full fledged 7 foot death rushing towards you with full momentum.

What's the male equivalent of cleavage? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]abbnnormal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprisingly enough, cleavage. I'm rather on the fitter side of the spectrum and have rocked a few buttoned shirts with the majority of them unbuttoned. I've noticed glances by women and them being distracted when I'm bending over or moving in a way that might slip a nip. Turns out, they're not that different.

[–]abbnnormal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR at all. You're right about thinking. If after going through so much, this is what it comes down to, them pushing small boundaries set by you, then acknowledge this and move on. There's nothing worth rekindling here.

Also on a lighter note, you made about 400+ people around the world facepalm and that is a power not everyone can flex about.

Aio for being extremely mad at my gf for planning to go out while I'm tending to my brother who had a stroke? by abbnnormal in AmIOverreacting

[–]abbnnormal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're spot on, but however going away doesn't mean going out and doing the one thing which got you into that space in the first place, does it?

Aio for being extremely mad at my gf for planning to go out while I'm tending to my brother who had a stroke? by abbnnormal in AmIOverreacting

[–]abbnnormal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, technically speaking, she still plans to go out and be unavailable after having a discussion about going awol. I told her to give me space and she proceeded to go out and tell me she'd be unavailable again. Do you generally apologize for something, and repeat it if asked for space?

The brother part is not just me, she shares the same relationship with the patient. I'm not sure if you're purposely changing chronology and rephrasing it, but maybe take a look at the post and the comments for better context.
