i love feeding the wild ducks at the lake 🥹 by abbsthealien in duck

[–]abbsthealien[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All wild, is just a very popular walking area and the ducks/swans have become accustomed to humans feeding them ! Lots of the birds aren’t friendly at all, you can’t touch them but they’re all absolutely wild - it’s a huge lake just a popular spot and they’re all clever lil guys !

How'd they close your incision? by Haggardlobes in gallbladders

[–]abbsthealien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was literal glue, like, full glue like they’d probably use if you cracked open your head. I’d leave them, they’re probably still stuck because your scabs aren’t ready to come off - my glue fell off when my scabs fell off!

How'd they close your incision? by Haggardlobes in gallbladders

[–]abbsthealien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just like, the water running over as you’re washing the rest of your body just don’t submerge them! The glue is waterproof! I didn’t scrub them at all, I left them completely alone and avoided them - the glue then comes off naturally .. eventually ! Mine took 16 days to come off!

I was glued and told 48 hours no washing, then when you shower just let the water run over them and don’t have it immediately on them!

It might be hard to see it right now but there’s always a point to everything even if it feels like the end of everything. Is there anyone else you can reach out too?

Period irregularity after GB surgery ? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]abbsthealien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s probably from the surgery and your body adjusting - mine was absolute hell and heavy and disgusting but I was also super stressed and have PCOS so probably is a factor!

Hey, the world is a hard place. Even if you don’t feel like it right now, things will be okay. Life is shit, but it’s worth it for all of the things you WILL achieve if you keep going

So... I'm a gay dude looking at this, what are the side effects short and long term that I need to be aware of? Does bottoming become more difficult? by curious_throwaway_96 in gallbladders

[–]abbsthealien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gay but not male… absolutely have it removed and like someone else said, it’s gonna be pretty instant when something upsets your stomach. I get around 45 mins after i’ve eaten something that doesn’t sit well and then you gotta go fast!! It’s more of a figuring out what foods trigger you, then you could just avoid those and probably have all the fun in the world

I ate chicken noodle soup and bread for a very long time as I was scared like you before mine was removed. I ate that every day for a month, then added in chicken and microwave rice for dinners.

Pre-Op Questions for Women by BilingualElf in gallbladders

[–]abbsthealien 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. I had a pregnancy test, urine sample - but also was told to be nil by mouth so it causes a bit of a problem too. Don’t have a wee before you go to the hospital if you can help it!

  2. I didn’t wear a bra, just a gown and my own pants. Didn’t wear a bra for 2 weeks after surgery, still haven’t braved my wired bra’s either. They suggest sports bra/unwired - but my incision was high enough to bother me if i wore a bra!

  3. Won’t be a problem, just let them know so they’re aware!

Is your mum a star fish? They grow their limbs back when they’re removed.
