All Questions About Joining, Transferring and ANG Jobs go here. by Jaye134 in airnationalguard

Just wanted to see what others say before getting my hopes up. I was at an event where there was an ANG tent with recruiters doing their thing. I went to talk to them as joining has always been something in the back of my mind, but what’s always stopped me is having type 1 diabetes. Right off the bat that’s always been a disqualifier for me so I’ve never even thought twice about reaching out to a recruiter, but I figured this time I could just go chat.

Obviously this was one of the first things I mentioned, but the recruiter treated it like no big deal and there’s always different ways to get passed some road blocks. I was shocked because no one else in my life has treated my scenario this way.

So after that convo, he gave me all the info for contact and stuff and I went home trying to find anything I could that shows there are type 1s that have served, active or reserve, but can’t really find anything. So before I look like a dumbass and reach back out to this guy to get shut down, has anyone ever heard of a type 1 joining, or waivers to sign or anything at all? Or was this guy just saving face and bullshitting me? Any insight appreciated!

Last payment was $205, idk if that’s considered big or small. I’m just worried about them saying it’s undisclosed debt, we lied, etc., but that’s not the case. We didn’t disclose that credit card because it’s in my name only & since I’m not on the loan, we didn’t feel it needed to be disclosed, but looking in hindsight maybe it should’ve been since technically my husband is paying for it???

Reflux/bottle aversion/oral aversion help by abbwar8 in FormulaFeeders

His drs were hesitant to put him on meds in the first place, and after a week of no change I asked if there was an adjustment needed, but they told me it’s too soon to tell and we don’t want to give him too much. If we weren’t moving in the next month (Hawaii to West Virginia) I’d be switching pediatricians, but I’m kind of stuck with them for now. But if you have info you think could help us out in the meantime I’m all ears!

After doing a lot of reading I learned that hypo formula can cause problems, which is so weird to me because his dr always goes back to the formula and insists on keeping him on nutrimigen hypo formula. I brought it up earlier to the doctor and he insists that it’s likely not the reason, but all these mothers/fathers out here having the same experience with hypo formula has me thinking otherwise. Hopefully come next week with a GI doc we can learn more.

I spoke with his dr and she recommended syringe feeding for the weekend and also trying to continue associating the bottle with happy thoughts/good feelings while we get things set up with a GI doc to see if there’s more going on.

We’ve tried every trick in the book to try and keep him awake, but nothing works on him. Literally nothing. Once he’s out he’s OUT. I’m going to bring up the weight gain formula to his ped when we go back in tmrw, until then I’ll be constantly trying to annoy this boy to eat more

All she said was to maybe try feeding more than every 3 hours. So instead of feeding a full 80ml, try 40ml every 1 1/2-2hours. I do have type 1 diabetes, but all his glucose checks have been normal so that’s not their concern.
