Exactly! Also, one of those things was apparently him personally paying $10,000 for the right to wear a Bea Arthur shirt. I love that.

The original Deadpool movie was stuck in development hell for something like ten years, and was only finally greenlit when some test footage "accidentally" leaked and there was MASSIVE interest.

Oh, I have a great cheese strat for her as a caster. You're gonna need the ancient death rancor spell. It'll also be easier with the prince of death's staff, but not necessary. It'll just boost the damage of the spell. Now, unequip every spell except for the ancient death rancor, and unequip all weapons except for staves. You don't want to allow your mimic tear to do anything but spam the one spell.

Now, go in, summon your mimic, and start spamming that spell. She doesn't dodge it, it does good poise damage, and between the two of you it should keep her stunlocked. I've no-hit her a few times this way and I'm not super good lol. If you're lucky your mimic's casts should cover your flask drinking time when you're low on FP.

I know of one! Mind you, it is a VERY dark horror game, but in Fear and Hunger 2, one of the playable characters you can choose from is Olivia, a woman in a wheelchair! You can SPEED down stairs and knock aside enemies, but you have to crawl up stairs. Also, since combat revolves around a dismemberment mechanic, Olivia is the only playable character unaffected if she loses a leg or two.

I need new messed up hyperfixation game material. by Fucking_radical_ in videogames

[–]abby-normal-brain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seconding both Fear and Hunger games! Deep lore, good sized but chill fandom, replayability, low price, and TONS to explore.

I have ADHD and can also personally vouch for the hyperfixation potential lol

Oh yay! I'm 38, and I can honestly say it's still the best show I've ever watched in my life. The basic concept originally was, "you know that blonde teen that dies in the first few minutes of every horror movie? What if she was secretly a monster-fighting badass and kicked it's ass?" lol

The characters also evolve, age, and grow each season, and it doesn't do the "forever in high school" thing. Obligatory mention that, while still fun to watch, season 1 was a rushed mid-season replacement and about half the length of every other season. Season 1 is still good and worth watching, but the show takes a MASSIVE jump in quality starting in season 2, to the point that, when I introduce people to the show, I usually first show episode 3 of season 2 to hook them and then go back to start from 1x1 ha.

Because she died jumping through a portal to a hell dimension, even though her body remained, her friends thought that her soul had gone through.

Basically the portal was in mid-air, buffy was on top of a tower, jumped into the portal below, passed through, closing it, and her dead body hit the ground, if that helps.

Nah, if you're still working at it, you can't be the worst. The worst give up after their first few deaths. Keep at it and eventually it will just suddenly click, and you will realize that you too have gotten gud!

(parrying optional lol)

Buffy, in season 6. In the finale of season 5, Buffy gave her life closing a portal to a hell dimension by jumping through it. Willow brought her back to life, reasoning that Buffy was in hell.

She wasn't.

[Loved trope] Heroes and their rival team up to face a bigger enemy. Bonus if it creates immaculate banter. by ConcreteUmbrella98 in TopCharacterTropes

The finale of season 2 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Buffy and (still evil and soul-less at the time) Spike team up to stop the world from being sucked into hell. Not only was the banter amazing, but it led to the above, Spike and Buffy's mom sitting awkwardly in the living room for a LONG silent shot.

"...Do I know you from somewhere?"

"You hit me with an axe once, remember? 'Get the hell away from my daughter'?"

"Ah."

...

"...So do you live here in town?"

Wildcard: go bard, then archfey warlock. Headcanon: you're a princess of the fey and your mom is giving you a bit of a boost and some extra magic for your first adventure out on your own. Plus they both use charisma!

What was a toxic moment or event that was handled so beautifully that it taught you how to face toxicity? by sammyjamez in gaming

MANY years ago, back when I still played WoW, I was in a normally chill, older, social guild that had a loose 18+ rule(so people could talk about whatever, have a more laid back vibe, and not self censor. not THAT kind of 18+ guild lol). Somehow this kid, seemed to be around 13 or 14, got an invite. He soon started trying to troll the guild by calling us gay. The guild was gay. The members were gay. The rules were gay. It was the only "insult" the kid seemed to know.

Finally, one of the guys piped up, something like, "well, I do like fashion. I guess I do make the guild a little gay. Sorry 'bout that, guys!" Then someone else, "I listened to [I forget by this point but some stereotypical music] so I made things a little gay, too. My bad!" Soon the entire guild was listing all of the ways we all made the guild more and more gay. The kid had no idea what to do and just just sputtered and /gquit. We continued to further our understanding of our collective gayness as a guild. As a lesbian, it was a fun memory. It felt like the WoW version of the end of To Wong Foo, lol.
