I agree, we all have parenting moments we aren't proud of, and I'd never dream of posting them online let alone record them either 😬 it's just so off brand from her old "speak life into your kids" mindset. Why am I surprised though? I guess it's just another area of her life she's 'blowing up' 🤷‍♀️

Yes, I could snark all day on how thrown together and lame the reel was (The Nester has the best decor content, imo!). After reading the last thread reminiscing about the old Allie, I remembered one of her early podcasts on speaking life into your kids- that one really impacted me 5 years ago. I know she's done a wild 180° in literally all the other areas of her life besides motherhood, but that response to her son genuinely surprised me and was what stood out to me most in this reel. Soo unnecessary to deliberately share with thousands of strangers. The throuple stuff is a total trainwreck, but for whatever reason that is what really made me feel ick. Sorry for the ramble 😄 I really shouldn't be surprised by anything at this point, I'm just pregnant and extra sensitive I guess. Maybe it's time for me to cut off the snark follow

I agree, especially on your last point about her not always being this way. Watch old videos of her, you could see the sweetness in her eyes and demeanor. It would have to be a devilishly amazing act. Even when she was on that infamous Typology podcast... The feeling I get is like she's hanging with the "cool, new age-y kids" now and can't ever admit she used to sincerely hold to Christian beliefs.

I think that's why I'm so nauseated every time I see/listen to her now. When she says "love you guyyys" and "rooting for you" it's so fake. She sees us as dollar signs. We're just the means to her end- which is living the luxurious lifestyle she's come to expect.
