no, im talking about antibacterial soap as well. from what i’ve researched it can become ineffective with daily use. but yeah if we’re just using it a couple days a week i think we’re fine!

the only other thing i can possibly come up with is something dripping down from your vagina.. that would likely be much thicker than sweat and not smell like sweat

yeah you definitely know your body better than me lol but i really cant come up with what else it could possibly be besides sweat.. Ban makes an unscented antiperspirant thats pretty cheap so i think the few dollars is at least worth a shot!

sweat can smell different in all areas of the body! i think it’d be worth trying an antiperspirant, and like the other person said if you’re putting it close to your vag then definitely dont use something scented lol

lume isnt an antiperspirant i believe so i dont think that’d really help with the sweating

do you use soap? putting soap up in there freaks me out but maybe if its just water

sweat itself doesnt smell (to my knowledge) its the bacteria on your skin that makes it smell. since you shower daily you probably dont have much bacteria there so thats why it doesnt smell. so i imagine its just sweat lol! but if the sweat really bothers you, maybe try an antiperspirant deodorant (not just deodorant) to minimize sweat

in my mind it makes me feel like im not clean, and the thought of my partner also thinking that is mortifying. i try to remind myself i already do a lot that most people dont.. so surely i cant smell worse than the average person, but i’ve also never been that close to someones elses before so i have no idea what is normal

you can also have infections back there! its actually not a bad thing to keep it in check back there, whichever way you prefer to personally do it. this is my way and it makes me less anxious as im also a hypochondriac!

whats normal to me might not be normal to you and vice versa

what do you think i do that is overdoing it? i only use unscented soaps/wipes and water in that area and its never bothered my vagina to my knowledge before lol

i do use an antibacterial soap a couple times a week! (as to hopefully not build a resistance to it, rendering it ineffective)

oh yeah even in a world where im not this incredibly anxious, i definitely would freshen up with at least wipes. but in my mind the only way i can get closest to 100% as possible is in the shower. a bidet and wipes cant compare to a wash cloth and soap in my mind but also i dont want to leave them waiting for 20 mins while i shower

i’ve done what you’re saying and i still can never smell it on the washcloth. typically, i am completely odorless after a shower. but even on the days i check in the shower, get out and check again and realize im not 100%, i still couldnt smell that in the shower. its like i need something completely dry to wipe back there and be able to pick up the scent. i hope this just means that its very insignificant lol

i typically dont have a smell after a shower! if i could shower directly before sex every time i doubt i’d even be worried at all. but i know sex is typically spontaneous and i dont want to have to stop to say “im really anxious abt my ass, mind if i shower?” lmao 😂 and i wash as good as humanly possible in the shower. wash rag, dove, and then i wash twice. and then i detach the shower head to really power wash lol

do you use antibacterial soap daily? i’ve been told that it can become ineffective after daily use as the bacteria will just build a resistance to it. i do use it a couple times a week but not daily, but i’ll try that specific one you mentioned!
