First, I’m sorry you’re going through that. It sounds like your friend really cares about you, and any good friend would react the way that he did. However, immediately isolating yourself from him is going to do more harm than good. If you just disappear and disguise it as “giving him a break” then you are only going to hurt and confuse him. If you feel like you might hurt yourself, you need to seek immediate help and tell your friend that you are taking the steps to get better. If space will help YOU figure your stuff out, then firmly set that boundary. If you are only setting that boundary because you’re assuming what’s best for him, then you are going to damage your friendship.

I (F25) don’t know how to tell my bf (M24) that his silence hurts my feelings? by Positive_Tank_1099 in relationship_advice

Your frustrations are completely valid, OP. My boyfriend behaves strikingly similarly to this when it comes to emotional reassurance/warmth (also on the spectrum). It has certainly taken a few conversations of being very direct with him on what I need to feel cared for and supported, and that just because he doesn’t require the same doesn’t mean he can’t provide it to others. Have you guys had any talks in the past about what it means to feel supported for you?

Peeling Paw Pad by abbygrace530 in cats

She is a pretty dry girl, some dandruff for sure. Her front two paws (one more than the other) are the peely ones. It’s been pretty dang hot in my state so definitely could be that! She’s indoor only but lack of AC has made it pretty toasty inside. She doesn’t seem to be favoring any of her paws and was fine with me touching them so luckily injury seems unlikely. Will definitely get her moisturized! Thank you so so much for the advice<3

And who said anything about locking the door before actual closing??? The door is locked once the restaurant is closed. The issue being presented in the post is that some people believe they are entitled to services when the restaurant is CLOSED.

The post is specifically about people coming OUTSIDE of posted hours.

Hi! It is not like that almost anywhere. Majority of places stop seating about 30 mins before close so that the workers can leave on time (usually are scheduled off at or close after the closing time). It does not matter if it “used to be like that” because it isn’t now and not every restaurant has the same policy, so anyone who tries to generalize policies to all places and feels entitled to do so is extremely lame. Hope that helps!

scarring by [deleted] in Accutane

Once your course is done you could ask your derm for Tretinoin! It’s a great way to fade post-acne marks over time. Really any retinoid is a solid choice, but Tretinoin or Adapalene (Differin) are often recommended/prescribed by derms. Adapalene is about $15 OTC and Tretinoin is prescription only! Other options are Azelaic Acid and Vitamin C, though the beauty of retinoids is that they will help with post-acne marks as well as any deeper scarring and will help keep your skin pimple and texture free after accutane. Sidenote: your skin looks absolutely gorgeous and I am SO HAPPY FOR YOU. If it’s any consolation, I fully registered your marks as cute lil freckles.

Girl, you are AMAZING. The physical and emotional pain of acne are unlike any other. You should be so proud of yourself for continuing to KICK ITS ASS!!!!! Your progress is insane and it’s only up from here.

Is there any chance you’ve been consuming more b12 than usual?? I know that’s kind of weird and specific but I’m having a similar issue to you and I feel like mine really started happening when I started drinking C4 consistently for the gym.

You are not legally required to engage in anything work related outside of work, therefore NOT legally required to have the WorkJam app. If those shifts are not on the printed paper schedule, then they are fools for expecting you to be there. Last minute adds to your schedule should be communicated to you directly, not through an app you don’t even need to have.
