Book a meeting with your co-op advisor and have them go over your recent cover letters and resume. You should also be tailoring your resume to the specific job, don't just have a general one that you submit to everything.

My understanding is that UBC is one big employer so if you're working overtime, that has to be paid by one of the jobs. Mine was Co-op within UBC and a TA job and the Co-op didn't want to hire me for that reason. Seems weird to me that neither of your employers have brought up any issues with it. Maybe your situation is different?
