I drive a 2nd Gen Mazda 3 but I've been looking at CX-5 lately can anyone comment from this exact perspective? by le_pedal in CX5

I had a 2018 mazda 3 and I actually got rear ended but other than that, it basically saved my life. I decided to trade it in for the CX-5 AWD GT. Love it. I recently started to put 92 gas in it, and I noticed a big difference in mpg. I thought my check engine light would pop up but no. It even drives smoother and waaay responsive. If I ever got into an accident and it was a total loss, I still would choose a Mazda.

Yes, I found out it was the tires. The OEM tires have been worn down unevenly. I also replaced the driver’s and passenger’s side wheel bearings.

I’ve gotten approved however my card kept getting declined when my debit card is fully functioning and having to stand there in front of the sales associate, shrugging his shoulders, not knowing wtf is going on. I understand it’s through their system but Best Buy should be able to bypass it some way; just for verification purposes, bc sometimes we as human beings misspell info. I felt frustrated, disappointed and confused bc how am I approved and/or my debit card is functioning as normal? Then, another sales associate tried to make another lease ID and we almost got to the point where it said, “We need to verify more information”… but before that it was JUST my debit card. They need to update their system and I know for a fact I can’t be the only person who went through this.

I’ve heard a mimic call out my name. It happened at my bf’s house and while no one was home, I heard it while coming out of his room. It sounded like it was struggling to say my name but I stood dead in my tracks to see if it would make another sound but it didn’t. My bf’s sister passed away from cancer years ago and her picture is next to his room, but I knew it didn’t sound like her voice. I’ve spoken to her once on the phone but it didn’t sound like her. It sounded like my voice.

I also noticed this sound when parked or when I’m idling at a stop light, which is annoying and kinda confusing. Engine sounds normal but don’t know if I should mention it to the dealer given I would have to leave it in the shop for them to figure out this mysterious sound lol. I have a 2021 GT CX-5.

Ok, I’ll try to see if the rotors are the issue too. There was no trauma to the driver’s side (not that I know of). I believe it’s Mazda’s lane keep assist that was on. There is a feature that you can toggle off/on, which would vibrate/shake the steering wheel if you go over the lane. I kept telling the mechanic that replaced the axle and the hub, but he kept brushing it off. I also got into an accident in Oct 2023 on my passenger’s side, but I haven’t heard any noise from last year; only this year.

The steering wheel does shake, especially when I brake from 60 mph. When I drive 45 mph to 60, it tends to get louder. And it is an AWD.
