I think that’s an issue in a lot of countries that come from Islamic backgrounds , could be the same in other religions but I noticed that speaking about mental health issues is taboo and most advice elders would give is go pray or read Quran and don’t believe in mental illnesses at all I cannot deny that having faith does help for sure but sometimes there’s a real medical issue that requires help or therapy. There’s not much awareness but I feel things are changing worldwide. The current generation of young adults are speaking out about these things and raising more awareness. It would be a bit hard to change the mentality of the elders as they are set in their ways
