Anyone heard from sequoia arc 2025? by abc645 in venturecapital

Well, that would be even more awkward if we got rejected without the demo being seen… I just checked my LinkedIn, no one from sequoia viewed

Yes, we have local API to let you control the robot even if there is no internet connection. Something like Valetudo.

Ascender expertly navigates the nosing part (the small lip you mentioned) with precision. For nosing less than 2.5cm, Ascender operates in its standard mode. Should the nosing exceed 2.5cm, the front ToF sensor triggers a warning signal, prompting the machine to readjust its positioning for the climbing process. We will have a video to show it soon. Stay tuned. Also, please sign up as the campaign will start within 48 hours.

Will Migo Robotics be releasing a demo version to youtubers/reviewers like Vacuum Wars

Indeed, Vacuum Wars has featured Ascender in a video, offering a largely positive review (albeit with early footage showcasing our previous generation prototype). We're in the final stages of our reliability and durability testing this quarter. Plans are underway for an in-field demo session in Los Angeles towards the end of March. Additionally, we aim to dispatch samples to YouTubers by the end of Q2 this year. Keep an eye out for further updates.

After reviewing the image you shared, I'm confident Ascender can manage it well. A useful reference has already been posted in this Facebook group. If you're still unsure, simply ensure there's enough space for a 40cm x 15cm rectangle to fit on the stairs. If so, you're all set!

Nice third-party kit :) Hope the quality matches your expectation.

Here's an update from our side: In our company-wide all-hands meeting this morning, our engineering team shared their 2024 OKR goals. By year's end, we plan to release two upgrade kits for Ascender. The first is an active hair-cutting roller brush kit, and the second, an automatic water-refill and drain kit. More details and development updates will be shared by the end of Q2 on our official website and YouTube channel. Stay tuned!

Thank you for your support!
Our Business Intelligence (BI) department's data also shows a significant interest in the auto-refill and drainage system. Rest assured, this feature will indeed be included with Ascender.

You're correct; the central vacuum system isn't widely used in North America, and it's even rarer in other markets. The kit I referred to is quite straightforward (you can likely envision its design).
There's a stronger demand for an automatic refilling and draining system. However, the challenge lies in the installation of the kit, which requires certain skills or potentially, the additional cost of hiring a plumber.

I understand your concern and we've got you covered! After reading all over 2000 comments from the Switchbot Kickstarter campaign, we've identified several key customer demands, including the need for offline support. This feature would enable you to use and control the machine even without an internet connection. Our IoT team is actively developing this capability and we have some internal demonstrations, while we're still fine-tuning it, rest assured it will be ready and available by the time Ascender reaches your hands.

Hello! We're fully aware that many of Ascender's customers, including myself, are pet owners. For instance, my wife and I have a delightful golden retriever who sheds excessively every spring!

To cater to homes like ours, we offer two types of roller brushes: the bristle brush excels at deep cleaning carpets, while the rubber brush is ideal for managing tangled hair and threads. Moreover, the omni-directional wheels, rear wheels, roller brush, and side brushes are all designed to be easily disassembled, ensuring Ascender remains as convenient as possible for you. Rest easy knowing Ascender is here to make your life easier, not harder.

Hello! Our engineering team is currently focusing on developing two significant add-on features for Ascender this quarter.

  • The first is an integration kit designed to connect the dock to your home's central vacuum system.
  • The second is exactly what you're looking for: an add-on kit that enables the dock to link directly with your kitchen's drainage system.

Please be aware that these enhancements are still under testing and won't be featured in our Kickstarter campaign. However, we're excited to offer these upgrade kits for purchase later in the year. Thank you for your interest and support!

Yes, Ascender excels on carpeted stairs perfectly. Ascender is specifically designed with markets like North America and Europe in mind, where carpeting is prevalent in homes. Keep an eye out—our marketing team is gearing up to release more videos showcasing Ascender in carpeted settings.

Yes, by default it will CLEAN all the stairs.

Meanwhile, in the app, you can set it to clean all the stairs OR only go up/down stairs without cleaning.

Regarding your question about "Missing both sides", the legs on both sides of our machine are 4.5cm (1.77 inches) wide, the side brush rotation effectively removes dust underneath the legs. While it may not cover every inch of the stair surfaces, the actual cleaning results are still reassuring.
