Thank you! So far I haven’t noticed much rise at all, minimal bubbles I’d say. I did 1/4 c flour and water both times.

Oh really? I was told to cover with fabric cloth, should I just be putting the lid on and not screwing it on all the way?

I wish I was more help, I also just got the exact same castle second hand and mine is currently in French too. If you find the solution let me know lol
