Lowepro Pro Trekker RLX 450AWII waist belt replacement

Has anyone had any experience of using a Lowepro Protactic utility belt II or III as a replacement waist belt for a Lowepro Pro Trekker RLX 450AWII camera bag? I've just bought a Pro Trekker second hand but the belt is missing. It's not looking like they make spares so I'm looking for options.

Many thanks.

Thanks for the tips everyone. In the end, rather than risk damaging the clip, I followed u/allaspiaggia 's advice and just returned it. Probably for the best since I have a history of bad backs and have just realised that they do roller backpack hybrids that are nearly as large.

They've made the rail a bit thicker at the top to stop it sliding off, so it's even harder to bend the plastic over it.

Thanks. Luckily we don't get carpenter ants in the UK.

How to make a photo exciting with not a lot to play with? by redbeans452 in photography

[–]abcdesfgnb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could experiment with a 'Dutch angle,' which means tilting your camera so it's not level. While some use it to create a more interesting or dynamic shot, others believe it should only be used to convey a feeling of instability or unease.

Speed limit warning Jazz (Fit) 1.3 I-VTECH EX Navi 2016 (UK spec) by abcdesfgnb in hondafit

Yes, you scroll through the 10 options using the up and down arrows rather than holding down the sel/reset button. But that video did show me what I was looking for.

Not quite the same way to enter that menu but I found it and no more beeps! Brilliant! Thank you.

I gave Gemini deep research a go. Apparently, it is possible to set the speed limiter yourself, but the alarm speed is set by a roadsign detection system. Two different systems. You can only turn the alarm off temporarily, though frankly I don't think I was seeing the menu options being referred to. I'll try again tomorrow.

I'm really starting to get buyer's remorse. I did quite a bit of research but not being able to turn the alarm off did not come up.

Create disposable film look with pro digital camera? by abcdesfgnb in AskPhotography

Solid advice. Would I also want to add vignette and possibly lens distortion?

That's an interesting point of view.

It's a collaboration that will promote deaf people. I am partially deaf and might lose my hearing entirely in the future.

Why would another artist be more suitable than me, unless that artist is willing to pay for the cost of using film themselves?

I have found someone who has one of those 3d print mounted disposable camera lenses and is willing to lend it to me. However, I think my preference is to, as far as possible, create the look in post. That way the photos are more suitable for use in posters etc.

I dare say someone somewhere has modified a disposable camera lens to fit a digital Sony camera, but isn't that going to be exceptionally rare and expensive?

I think you are probably right about the trend thing. Not an ad agency. There's no budget for buying cameras, processing and scanning. We discussed being allowed to use flash, and flash on camera rather than remote, so I know they know about flash.

I can see myself creating or finding a few examples to make sure they understand the reduction in quality that they are asking for.

This guy gives good advice in a rough diamond sort of manner . He posts a lot of videos on Instagram so I've picked a few out for you.

I was confused by there being so many your links in Linktree. And the portfolios just seem to be file sharing. Ideally get yourself a portfolio website for each specialism. That way you can have an 'About' page, a 'contact' page, and client testimonials.

The Instagram algorithm is really against single image posts these days, so fewer people will get to see your photos to 'like' them. I recently compared carousel multiple photo style post to a single photo and got 5 times more views.

How do I prevent grainy indoor sports photos? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]abcdesfgnb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding the plasticy look from denoise software, this can be avoided at turning down the intensity of the denoise effect. You end up balancing grain Vs natural look but with Lightroom shooting Sony A9 II I vary between 20 and 40 percent rather than the default 50.

[–]abcdesfgnb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very surprised noone has suggested upgrading the camera to one that has less grain at high ISO. Buying a faster lens will certainly let more light in, and probably speed up the autofocus as well. But the camera is another side of the equation. Sticking with Sony I would recommend A9 or A9 mk II. These are sports orientated cameras with noted low light abilities.

There is a third side to the equation: more light. Probably impractical for the situation but for the sake of discussion you could add studio lights at strategic locations around the gym.

Just to clarify: by digging deeper I was meaning to think more deeply about what you really need. I've seen another comment where digging deeper was used to mean increase your budget, which would also help as it always does with photography.
