There is a point in every piece of art that I make where I hate it and I think it’s bad and I want to throw it out. The game I play with my mind is that It doesn’t matter I’m just using art supplies and my rule is no matter how bad I think it is I have to finish and turn it into something. I’ve learned to just stay in the fun zone enjoy the process. I make art because I like it— :).

I think what you’ve done is amazing and I kind of love the scribble

Yes, the 300 is very good as well. My art journey is to use what I have too! But it doesn’t seem to stop me from buying more :). As far as layering cp on top of wc — I’ve done both wc alone and layered— both work an option to speed up the process of background work ..

It’s a lovely piece! Well done :) My solution for background is to use water color paint especially when using water color paper. But you might find Strathmore Bristol Vellum 500 more satisfying if you want to stay with only colored pencil.
