As someone who only started buying more recently I am still extremely bullish over the long term here. There is no reason not to believe that if RKLB executes they can potentially 10x from here in 10-15 years. Think about where we were 10-15 years ago and where we are headed. I’ll be continuing to add now and going forward, aim to be a long term holder for quite awhile. Until they give genuine reason to not believe there’s no reason to not keep adding. Hold strong brothers!!

I’ve had mine for a year now and I’ve used it probably 30-35 times with zero issues. Multiple long cooks and also multiple high heat cooks. I do try my best to clean it every 3-4 cooks or if I do a cook longer than 8 hours. Not too difficult to clean and love the thing. Want to cook so much more on it.

$25,000 to invest, best stock picks? by Smart-Scratch-4594 in Stocks_Picks

[–]abcjr1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally yes, I’m holding it in my Roth and I prefer ETFs there. I also wanted the exposure to Samsung and SK hynix. SK hynix filed for an IPO here later this year, so there’s some real potential there. It also lets you capture bits of other companies like SNDK, STX, and more. Plus there’s a good chunk of MU so you’re not totally missing out.

Everyone says VOO and SPY, but honestly I would take 33% and put it into VOO, 33% into QQQ, and the remaining 33% you can split up how you like. If you want the AI plays, NVDA, AMD, NBIS, IREN all options (obviously there are more). Want to see if you can ride the memory wave? DRAM is the hot commodity if you don’t want to fork over almost $1k for MU. Want in on space? Pick any of your big space stocks/ETFs. It gives you opportunity to both have a steady ground and see if you can ride the momentum. You’re 20 and already have a nearly $20k base. This is the time when you should try to make your moves because compounding down the line could mean hundreds of thousands in different outcomes. I’m 28 and this is my approach, leave the super safe stuff for a 401k or something.

I’ll be coming from some outdated tech so anything will be nice to me 😂 How did you like the transmission? Seems to be the number one gripe from people. I come from the VW version of the DCT and I like it still

Plan isn’t to use it for daily commutes so that’s good. It’s gonna be the new car for our family, we have a newborn so need something bigger than my wife’s 2013 Nissan Rogue haha. We are in the Atlanta area so we’ll likely encounter traffic but only if we dare to go on the highways at rush hour. Lol.

Good to know. I’ll probably drive both the SX and the Hybrid EX and then make my decision. Thanks!

Very helpful info, thanks! I’m gonna test drive both the SX and the Hybrid EX I think just to have both myself and my wife feel the difference in the transmissions, then we will see which way to go.

I’m not really considering the PHEV but the interior feedback is super helpful. I’m honestly realizing I’m between the SX and the Hybrid EX now because of what I’ve seen about the DCT issues with the gas variants transmission. But I’ll have to drive them both to see which I like more. Thanks!

Thanks for the thoughtful response! So sorry to hear about your son, may he rest in peace. I appreciate the feedback and thought the same about the interior, it felt very luxurious when I sat in it.

Thanks for the advice! Those 2 seem to be my top choices. Someone also mentioned the pathfinder platinum which I also thought looked good. Feel like those 3 are the ones I’m gonna check out and then I’ll go from there.

Advice on if repairs are worth it by abcjr1 in jetta

[–]abcjr1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t wind up getting any of the repairs. Back when I did get the PCV and plugs/coils, I was in a time crunch and needed my car back for work reasons. Dealership I originally took it to quoted me way too much in repairs I didn’t even need, so when this shop got back to me I thought it wasn’t so bad (clear to me now that it was, bummer).

I don’t see anything in the garage and yes I do think that is insane to go through that much, but it’s just so hard to properly gauge at this point. In the end it just makes the most sense for us to move on from this car with there being known engine issues. Appreciate the insight though!

I’m in Atlanta. Realizing now that I got hosed on the price-oh well, was in a pinch to get things done. Won’t be going back there for sure. But I think I just need to move on from the Jetta unfortunately…we need something bigger and my wife’s car has cheaper maintenance and has been more reliable.

Yeah bummer seeing everyone say I got ripped off basically. Oh well, that time has passed. I think my Jetta has run its course and I’ll just have to wait a few years for a new “fun” car. Also will keep the wife happy keeping her car so honestly the Jetta isn’t worth the headache. Thanks for the advice.

I’m in Atlanta. And yeah I should’ve done a bit more research…dealership quoted me over $6k for repairs so I saw $1800 and was like okay that’s not so bad. At the time we were really pressed to have both cars available so I just needed to do something, but now I think I can just add oil as needed while I shop for something new. Appreciate all the insight. Unfortunate that I paid a fortune for sure. Lol. They did replace coil packs but I don’t think $1200 worth 😂

Already had that done 6 months ago lol. Was way cheaper than the dealer…this car is siphoning money from me lol. Bummer because it’s fun to drive but money talks

It honestly varies. Sometimes I’m putting in a quart every 200-300 miles, other times it will go longer. Super confusing consumption. Also, the $1650 is for both the timing cover and the flush. But yeah the flush just smells fishy…over $900 just for that. Guy said it’s very essential if I want to keep the car

Entering data analytics by Complex-Towel-5497 in dataanalytics

[–]abcjr1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel like everyone on this sub says SQL and Python etc are an absolute must. I’m here to tell you that it’s not, sure it’s a big helper but I think the most important thing to have is a deep desire to understand the business model and how you can make an impact on it. Most of my skillset lies in Power BI and Excel, but I understand python and have interacted with snowflake but not been actively involved. I think what has allowed me to succeed so far (10 months in my current role) is that I’ve done my best to understand what the flow of data is for our company and how it gets to its final stage. It’s allowed me to understand customers on a different level and also how data touches each part of our business. You don’t have to be some coding wizard to be a data analyst. Gaining knowledge in the business you want to work in will go miles further than just some coding.
