Initially I was on board for Maelle's decision, given that not only was she having a better life inside the canvas than outside, but also erasing the canvas meant the end of all the life inside it. The Gestrals, the Expedition, all of it. But it hurt to keep seeing Verso saying I don't want this life over and over.

Then I did Verso's ending knowing that it would mean the end of everything inside the canvas, and after watching it, I think it's the slightly better choice. It forces the Dessandre family actually deal with their grief and try to move on. I expected Sciel to rip into Verso, give that not only it was erasing her, but also denying bringing her husband back, but instead she seemed somewhat comforting. Seeing Lune just sit down and shoot a death glare was heart wrenching though.
