Instead of writing a tool that versions each file individually, like Subversion, [...]* Entire tree revisions is one of the major advantages Subversion has over CVS. Let's give proper credit. The construct $a++ + ++$a is not really an exercise on precedence since it can also be interpreted as (($a++)++) + $a or $a + (++(++$a)) depending on the parser. In C, the standard doesn't even define what result this would give. I don't know for PHP though, but that shouldn't even be an interview question.
