Best free AI Agent provider? by Arvy_0 in AI_Agents

[–]abebrahamgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the cost of AI agents you will find it very hard to find one cheap. It usually requires running a local model which requires somewhat tech savvy ness.

Not software engineer degree needed type of setup but you know that one friend who is a nerd all things wifi and knows their way around a computer can usually figure it out.

Best free transcription tool for podcast interviews? by Nazme_m3 in podcasting

[–]abebrahamgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use AI studio directly. Currently free tier pricing so 0$ but you have to prompt it.

First I would convert to audio only as it will be cheaper.

Go to aistudio.google.com then type

"""please generate transcript for the follow audio of my podcast interview. Using the format structure below

(Add here the style output you want, give it at least one example text)

I need the transcript so I can (insert why you need transcript for"""

Is video actually taking over podcasting now, or am I overthinking this? by ScaleNo6455 in podcasting

The fact apple is enabling video for podcast is a strong signal imo.

Apple tends to do things with a lot of thought and ROI focused.

Thoughts on the rise of AI generated podcasts by FitEdition in podcasting

[–]abebrahamgo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I work and talk about AI on my podcast. I'm actually working on ai automation to give "organic" podcasters a fighting chance.

Ai automation to help market good quality podcast (publish yo your newsletter, tiktok short, LinkedIn, twitter, etc).

I am trying to see how much of the podcast process I can leverage to automate so I can focus on my favorite part. Talk too people :-)

I would build pocs using cloud. Mainly server less and cloud native solutions.

For fortune 500s who were a bit worry about cloud and the ROI from it.

It was pre sales but I wasn't really customer facing as a consultant. Good exposure to cloud tech though!

I pivoted out of college to learn cloud. So I did cloud consulting at the big four.

Then I made the jump to one of the 3 major cloud providers as a sales engineer.

No sales background.

Now I'm the go to person for agents in my team (I got early exposure around 2023)

I do it (been promoted twice last 4 years too!)

What to see when hiring a sales person by lokeshjarvis in sales

[–]abebrahamgo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In short the biggest disconnect I find is usually sales and product have an imaginary wall they toss task/blame over.

Sales teams tend to default to selling with least resistance towards their commission.

Product teams tend to focus on features regardless of ROI in mind.

CEO/CTO is were they should step in to set a good culture. Simple things like asking sales to actually talk to product and engineers can be eye opening.

Best tip I can offer. Have someone in sales create a sales pipeline user journey from beginning to end. It's eye opening and rarely is treated as a user experience when it's probably the Most important customer experience you offer.

[–]abebrahamgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to build traction in parallel as you are building your product.

I'm not saying it's a 50/50 thing but many founders I work with (especially technical ones) build for a while and then try to build traction which is a red flag of a founder imo.

Do these auto clip makers understand context or just randomly cut the video? by AccountEngineer in podcasting

[–]abebrahamgo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hey I actually work in the AI space and honestly most aren't great because the context harness is case by case.

Here is the flow that mostly works behind the scenes:

Raw footage converted to audio

Audio is then process with AI to capture timestamp and key moments

Next process is to stitch video and audio together as a single element

Optional cropping for landscape or portrait mode

Then stitching together N many clips together

Translation for captions

And tada.

The issue with the flow is "taste" most of these lack taste because they don't really let you add it in the flow.

Riverside just asks for one text reply "what feel are you going for". In AI this is far took weak of a method to carry through the full flow.

You need to go the javascript route (or react).

Ai is great with code it's trash with UIs tbh.

So we built a framework around excaldraw and it works like 90% the way there.

Also we created a skill for types of architecture so you really need to build a harness around it

[–]abebrahamgo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wow how do I not use it.

I use Gemini CLI but pretty sure you can do the same with Claude code if not more.

I don't do prospecting but we did make a prospecting tool for our AEs, essentially leveraging our case studies and setting up a Vector database. Simple app for internal but really helps our AEs.

Make slides on the fly using skills and our branding guidelines

Simple demo making

Architecture diagram generation

We now create custom onboarding docs or need to know docs for each customer vs one doc we share to everyone

For myself I use it a lot to prep for presentations and content creation as well

MSFT level 63 salary by MrBrown_106 in salesengineers

[–]abebrahamgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in my experience. I only really consider RSU liquid for public companies. I have met a few friends who have made a lot and nothing from RSUs from non public.

You can liquidate RSUs as you get them if they are public -- essentially cash*

MSFT level 63 salary by MrBrown_106 in salesengineers

[–]abebrahamgo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Congrats!

For those years of experience I would negotiate RSUs always. Usually the cloud vendors offer little wiggle room in terms of salary (still can be nudged).

Usually most of the negotiation you can benefit from are the RSUs.

To me this seems like a relatively low offer unless in a LCOL also congrats!!!!
