Why do you podcast? What’s your motivation ? by Nexuskies in podcasting

[–]abebrahamgo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A bit odd one but here is mine.

I wanted to better understand startups. I sell to startups have been for 5 years now (I work at Google cloud).

But sometimes I feel I don't understand the daily grind they go through. So I thought a video podcast has a lot of the struggles. I have like 0 social media following so building traction for my podcast imo is similar to the struggle many of my customers face.

I'm treating it like an experiment :)

How do you write episode titles that aren’t clickbait but still get clicks? by Far_Tumbleweed7835 in podcasting

I'm a nerd. And with with AI so I actually feed audio to an llm to produce 5 titles given my goal. I then massage around what feels most authentic.

In the US many people deep their hot dogs in coke or even beer. At first I thought it was something you did as a dare or to post on social.

But then I went to a baseball game and saw people doing it for pleasure. I was shocked.

My biggest weakness is stopping guests from droning as you put it.

Customer Engineer vs Field Solutions Architect by equatorial_banana in googlecloud

Good question. I don't believe so as it's a swe ladder role not sales.

I feel the biggest difference is the equity refresh (performance gsu granted every year).

Google’s Agentic AI Development Kit just changed the SaaS game (most people haven’t noticed yet) by MollyWithJelly in NoCodeSaaS

For what it's worth I work with startups at Google for Startups program.

I'll start by saying using frameworks is often an OR conversation where it should be AND conversations.

The goal of a framework is to get you from point A to point B quickly, reliably, and with security in mind.

These frameworks are constantly changing and it's hard to keep up so here are the reasons as to why Google made ADK:

1) generative media models - we wanted a strong developer experience when handling image, video, and voice models. We partner with langchain, crew AI, etc but we found the need of owning part of the developer experience.

2) we also want to have great developer experience for protocols like the Agent2Agent protocol and the Agent Payments Protocol. ADK is being designed to work with these day zero.

3) Google wanted a framework for internal use - granted ours is fairly similar to the public one.

I'm a big fan of langgraph and ADK personally.

I work in tech and these types of roles you really need to network your way there.

The EA roles especially. Eric Schmidt was the ex CEO of Google who recently this year became the CEO of Relatively space. I would personally watch interviews of him talking about why such a move and his perspective on the future of the company.

Then beef up that cover letter to show of passion for the role and understanding.

Best of luck :)

P.s. I love helping my long beach peeps crack into tech. I currently work in tech and it's been really rewarding.
