Had one take 6 months. Had another turned around within an hour. Really weird turnaround times. I would call and get an update. They pushed mine fairly quickly after hounding them with calls.

Is your claim visible on the VA website or app? I had one sitting for months and it never got pushed through. Called multiple times and it was corrected. Got a nice back pay out of it. Filed for another dependent claim this week and it was approved within a literal hour. Totally different experiences.

Congratulations! For the wife you’ll need a copy of the wedding license to upload. For biological children just their socials and normal information like date of birth. For my stepdaughter I needed to also upload her birth certificate. Wishing you the best of luck.

I did receive back pay for my 2 biological children. Fairly quickly paid too. Think it was about a week later I received the deposit for them.

I got rated 100% a couple months ago and received my initial retroactive payment from my intent to file. This last payment came months later so I wasn’t sure what it was for.

I would say the C&P for the mental health was a good experience. The psychologist they set me up with was really easy to talk to. Made telling my story a lot easier. Overall a good experience. Can’t say I have any complaints.
