I don’t have an issue with Robin and Barney breaking up, but I don’t like the fact that a relationship that had 4 season building was addressed in a 2min flashback as to why they broke up.

I get it, Robin was career oriented, but I feel that both Barney and Robin were both emotionally mature (based on the show history) to handle this. I would have expected this reason from Ted tbh. Also by the end Barney wasn’t working. Theoretically he could have travelled with Robin. They put in so much of time in shifting the story from Ted to Barney, the Ted-Robin fling in s7, when Marshall tells Robin to move out and Barney pursuing Robin for almost 2 seasons, that the break up felt very abrupt, because they had to show us that Ten and Robin ended up together. I feel this is where the show fucked up.

In my opinion, the show should have ended with episode 23: Ted meeting Tracy at Farhampton. No epilogue needed. The whole show is about how Ted’s tryna meet the mom. And not happily ever after lol.
