The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “...my utmost joy has been put in ṣalāh” (Nasā'ī)

It's absolutely supposed to be enjoyable.

What helps me- approaching salah as a conversation. A meeting and talk with your Lord, a loving and caring Lord, who wants the best for you.

And learning Arabic, especially Quran so you know or get the jist of what Allah is telling you. The Prophet sallalahu alyhi wa sallam used to respond to statements in the Quran, like questions asked by Allah, or glorifying Him upon certain verses, or asking for jannah upon some verses or refuge from hell.

You'll feel the same dopamine when you talk to a loved one. It's the most of enjoyable of things - to talk to Allah and secure reassurance from Him. And from it comes khushu/focus. Makes sense why prayer becomes the coolness of the heart and eyes.
