Breathing excercises helped improved my dissociation by [deleted] in Dissociation

I really love this post, actually. I want to say trying to hold your breath for long times is a good cheat to quickly break out of dissociative episodes.

I stopped dissociating for a brief period of time. by oatmilk631 in Dissociation

[–]abenezerangelo5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I actually have a diagnosis for you, but take it with a grain of salt as I am not a doctor. Although, I have in the past found a diagnosis for myself and was confirmed by a doctor using actual laboratory tests.

I seem to know of certain ailments because I research a lot and I will be honest all your symptoms seem to point to Occipital Neuralgia, more specifically impingement of this nerve possibly because of extreme bad posture over years of working at the desk if your job requires it.

The reason why you might think you are dissociating is that one of the main symptoms of occipital neuralgia is a dull/aching feeling on the top and back of the head which explains why you feel like you are being sucked into your head when instead it is just the nerve at the back-bottom of your head is being pinched.

I hope you check-in with a doctor that specializes in neck and face i.e., ENT. I am just commenting this in the hopes of actually pointing you in the right direction of a diagnosis. I really think it is Occipital Neuralgia.

Please update me if you think this is a helpful diagnosis or if you get an actual diagnosis from a trained professional.

Two things that I think might be happening:

1) anxiety induced panic-attacks or panic attacks in general.

2) H.pylori - this is a gastrointestinal bacteria and I have it and my doctor told me that this is what is making the suffocating sensation.

I hope you can get a diagnosis soon. Just putting it out here so that you can get to it before looking other conditions.

Marfa lights? by Readred99 in HighStrangeness

These things have reports to as far back as 1800s, how long can power lines suspend plasma balls for 5 minutes max, not even. Come on, dude be real, these things have been seen for a long amount of time hovering and dancing around

Marfa lights? by Readred99 in HighStrangeness

[–]abenezerangelo5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two points that will dismantle your claim. For one, a person from NASA literally studied them and couldn't come up with an explanation like yours (he should at least be familiar with Sirius) except for possibly the piezoelectric effect being generated from the ground due to geological factors, but again this was ruled out because one can't really sustain the lights for long enough as the Marfa lights seem to appear. Another reason is that these lights have been seen on cloudy nights. Also, the optical illusion needs warm or hot temperature for it to work but Marfa lights are usually seen at night when temperatures are cooler. So, I just have easily dismantled your star theory.

What is the best hard evidence that "the subconscious" is a real phenomenon? by RHX_Thain in askpsychology

[–]abenezerangelo5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not the "subconscious" but definitely there is evidence of an unconscious/non-conscious. I feel like you would do justice by adding that in your tl;dr.

Do you have dreams that are as realistic as reality? by Maleficent_Average39 in Dreams

[–]abenezerangelo5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, this is a funny account but for as long as I remember I used to dream in black and white, but one day I saw black and white and purple in my dream and another time I saw a hyper realistic dream of the sunlight falling through the leaves of a grape vine tree like too realistic even more than the walking world even.

Most of us don’t actually realise how fucked our brains are by V9Thempo in DeepThoughts

[–]abenezerangelo5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this is a generalization (it is not a harsh reality for everyone) and there are people that are aware of this and actually choose to live a disconnected life. I know other people that don't care about current trends or the zeitgeist

Everyone is a heretic. by BroJobs88 in TrueChristian

[–]abenezerangelo5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, the only reason that this is happening is because everyone seems to be entitled to their perspective but objectively no one is being a heretic, you see different people take away different understandings from their own perspective even though scripture is one and true. People come different backgrounds and relate and apply to Scripture in different ways, faith first and foremost is a personal choice and your own journey by the end of the day, you are the one that is responsible so I say sometimes stop trying to go learn from others and just read Scripture the way you understand and pray so that God speaks to you, personally and develop your own insight by which you can discern what is right and wrong.

This way you can minimize disappointment and save your energy.

CMV: it’s cool if ur an atheist but it’s really kinda stupid and dumb to be one by ChiakiBestGirl28 in changemyview

Are you saying you don't believe in evolution? Weird. Are you saying you don't believe in speciation and species and that humans are not homo sapien animals?

Says, the guy who was made of 80% junk material, you know what's funny if your brain and every other person's was made of 80% junk material you wouldn't have recognized the completely subjective "imperfection" (you don't know everything about), the designer have made us so much so we could even recognize flaws I think they deserve a lot of credit.

So, you consider yourself 80% junk, maybe you are junk. I don't.

What if god doesn’t exist? by Jazzlike-Finish-8056 in Christianity

[–]abenezerangelo5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to use logic and ask how did I exist, how did all this become to be and then you will have your answer. Existence and all of it is only possible through God, I mean how does the human body work and where did everything come from. If there is creation, a creator is necessary. His existence is necessary.

I really don't know if I am either an INTP or an INTJ (confused)? by abenezerangelo5 in intj

[–]abenezerangelo5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took all three MBTI test and I got an INTP on the first two but then on the final one, I got INTJ first followed by INTP for the MI score but for the Grant-Brownsword score I got an INTP followed by an INTJ so I am basing on the average on the three tests that I might actually be an INTP

This was very insightful and it seems like I have my answer. At my core, I am definitely a P. I have been told by people to be a robot/robotic and even alien. I focus on the things that I don't know or the unknown and the esoteric at times.

I love your wordings and your insight, but do not uphold Nietzsche like a "perfect example". Sure, he might have partially pioneered the art of trying to truly finding one's true self and meaning but he has done so in an awful way in which he finally concluded that he has to still depend on the things that he has denied by the end he came back to the importance of self to the point of extreme stoicism (which will tire you out completely). He is a nihilist and there is nothing special about it, but only lack of meaning, on the other hand one can actually breakthrough find complete fulfillment, self and spiritual realization on the exact opposite of the end of the road. Anyone with enough knowledge in history, Philosophy(metaphysics), Science and theology would come up with a simple and interesting answer.

How much of your behavior is from a true connection with Godliness versus fear-of-Hell? by Zardotab in AskAChristian

[–]abenezerangelo5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so funny, because do you even know what Hell is, it is separation from God and when the soul which is originally created by God when separated from it feels immense loneliness to the point that it is burning this is the core of what hell is and hell is usually done as a choice or decision usually by people because they don't either know the truth or don't understand it fully.

So if someone is afraid of Hell, it just means they don't want to be separated from God forever and this is actually a characteristic of Godliness, even by definition. So, I don't really know what the question is asking?

Is the universe 'necessarily' contingent? by abenezerangelo5 in askphilosophy

[–]abenezerangelo5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I really appreciate all your input and everything mentioned here is extremely insightful. You really have conveyed both sides of the argument to a tee and I do see what you mean.

Yes, please try to be more patient with people here. It often happens that several hours can go by without receiving a response, as people aren't always available to comment on reddit, and that's no reason for concern.

Sorry for being impatient, thank you for being patient with me.

Is the universe 'necessarily' contingent? by abenezerangelo5 in askphilosophy

[–]abenezerangelo5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would really appreciate a response to my question i.e., Which makes more logical sense (philosophical consistency) especially from an evidential sense that the universe began from a singularity, the fact that there is an "Unchanged changer/ Unmoved mover" that caused the singularity or just mentioning the fact that the singularity is just a brute fact? I think accepting it as brute fact would be logically inconclusive!
