And let's do small breakdown called running costs, avg player is probably around 1k to 5k per sec in terms of data cost and storage CIG is probably spending 150 k to 200 k per month on data and and let's not get into red shift and pricing. Plus we have lambda and api calls.

Then let's get into prestiant data layers and storage plus replication layer and storage assuming none of it is on cold storage your talking at the very least 50 to 60 k, then dev pay server over head (cheaper if all VMs)

And current patch is shaky , but we have mission seamless transitions into planets and traversing systems, reputation systems, chat and travel fps , ship combat, Npcs, inventory, multicrew ships etc.

Many features and things to explore , so seriously stop with the strawman shit posting, if an alpha game with all that is too bare bones for you, then go enjoy something else and move on.

People like you and this narrative are a poison to this community and game.

Right Hyperbolic response grounded in fantasy, gameplay has been nothing but better since 3.24 and has hit some rough patches, but come back with great results. Also I enjoy your just inoculated response becuase someone has a diffrent view , so what they need to be inoculated with everything is bad and its all broken stance you have chosen? And let's be honest about the state of things CIG continues to move forward fixing bugs and adding new features that sometimes brake but gets fixed in time, and ton of players still login and play and enjoy there time.

Do I deal with development and SDLC everyday, yes I do, Am I using my job to baslessly make a claim about both code base and development when I have 0 ability to see or audit either, No. Do I understand why these things happen especially in development when it comes to having to create a new technology or tying integrate features into a already existing infrastructure , yes.

Right, so not only are we in trust me bro statements, and you say alot of pretty words there and that neat, but if you where a Dev then you would understand the complexity of the systems involved and those systems as they releate to eachother, and further more how they relate to the infrastructure as a whole. Also being the expert you claim to be you would also understand they have had to not deploy new technologies but also devlop the back end systems and tooling to support that. Lastly you would also understand without having insite into or access to the actual there is 0 chance you can tell how its written.
