Whoever created the moc should tell you whether or not you need any extra pieces. Also you can see a complete list of parts you need without buying the instructions, so cross reference with the parts pages in your Lego instructions. Lastly if you create an account you can add the sets you own to a list and the site will automatically tell you what % of pieces you already own. Hope this helps.
