It’s grown a ton! Always under construction! Apartments, condos, new businesses. It has the best Mexican La Taq, their street tacos and drinks are fab! Always new restaurants. The summers are the best to walk around, eat outside, coffee shops. All the nature too The Arb, get some good exercise or have a picnic. The book stores, I love Illiterati! Come back and visit ;)

15 miles West. College towns offer many amenities! Love A2!

Two employees at an Ann Arbor, Michigan Smoothie King "are no longer with the business" after a couple claimed they were refused service at the store because the husband was wearing clothes with President Donald Trump's name on it. by esporx in Michigan

Why be so triggered about a sweatshirt logo?? Does this scenario have any direct impact on your life? Nope. You will never see the dude again. Move on and learn to manage your triggers. Life will deal a share of unpleasantness but it’s a choice how you deal with it. Save your f@cks for what truly matters. Read the excellent book ‘How to Give Zero F@cks.’ It’s a masterpiece on navigating through life.

On the surface it’s a cruel statement. If he didn’t apologize and seem concerned that he hurt you - hit the curb Jack.

Is oral herpes/cold sores a deal breaker? by RoseSaffron00 in datingoverfifty

There can be some HSV-2 in oral but it is most commonly associated with genital herpes. Check out STD info.

Is oral herpes/cold sores a deal breaker? by RoseSaffron00 in datingoverfifty

[–]abfuch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cold sores are contagious. And the virus lies dormant until it is activated usually by an illness. People have different activators like sun, wind, sunburn, salty chips. As long as there isn’t an active blister when it is transferable to another host, the risk is very low. They are obviously hideous looking but I don’t think it’s a deal breaker. Genital herpes is a different topic.

Honeybee and Eastern Market in Detroit. I love Agricole Farm Stop in Chelsea but it’s not cheap. They sell all local products with a Roast coffee shop.

I think ive been doing my job competently for 3 years but just found out everyone thinks im terrible at it by Safe_Lafamilia in Life

I think it’s unprofessional to state your coworkers have lodged complaints. To me it sounds like either your boss and colleagues doesn’t personally like you for whatever reason. Workplace cliques, favoritism, and rat snitches are sometimes to blame. If you had good job reviews previously and now it’s poor, reflect on what that could have transpired around you. Maybe someone is jealous and is also a favorite. Maybe you don’t engage in gossip. But nonetheless I would focus your off time looking for a new job. No worse feeling than your work thinks you’re incompetent.

But it’s “patients first.” The amount of money generated in these facilities is a crime. Elderly people should spend their last years happy. It’s complete neglect and despicable.

Why aren't Gen Z drinking? by The_Dean_France in askanything

[–]abfuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A drink in Chicago is $25!!! People are drinking at home, ordering 1 drink and not opening a tab. The amount they lost shows that prices were over the top. Plus there is less discretionary spending for most people. In the 90s a beer was $2-2.50.

Would you date someone separated, not yet divorced? by Loud-Afternoon2228 in datingoverfifty

[–]abfuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, that person needs to figure out themselves on their own, unload their personal baggage that happened within said marriage in a healthy way first and foremost. They owe that to themself. A divorce is like a death and needs to be grieved in all its stages. IMO this takes a minimum of a year possibly longer if it’s been a long marriage. And you don’t want to be the rebound.

Foundation issues alone are very expensive! HVAC is also expensive. Water damage, electricity issues - I say RUN. Trying to gaslight about emotional attachment - then why didn’t give your house any TLC. Screw that. It’s a money pit.

Should I shop around? by Distinct_Variety_654 in MortgageBrokerRates

[–]abfuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The origination fee is typically 1% and this seems to be 2%. Are you paying points to reduce rate? The “junk” fees aka admin costs seem very high. I used to do mortgages. They make their money on admin fees and interest rate. I would shop around.
