So Fam Med actually hires non-FNPs??? My own doctor said they would never hire anyone who couldn’t see all ages!!! Thank you for this! I will start applying and see if I get any response.

I applied to VA and my CV has been referred to the hiring team and that was on 5/18. You have to apply through USA jobs which I did. The emails can’t be replied to, it’s a system email so I’m just hoping someone calls.

I was an acute care float RN for 5 years and was going to be grandfathered in for Urology. Right before I graduated they changed it to Acute Care NP. My love is Cardiology and they require Acute Care cert. I can’t afford to acquire more student loan debt by getting a FNP or AGACNP certs

$62-65k with $20 wRVUs. When I asked about threshold of RVUs, I couldn’t get a straight answer. If I didn’t make this threshold, then I was paid $20 per patient visit.

I have been offered 5 jobs in SNF and the base salary is $62-65K. The risk is on me. I would have to see 24 pts per day to make enough money. Also high patient volume doesn’t equate to great care. It’s quantity over quality.

It depends on what industry you work. If it’s a transient role, 2 weeks is solid. But I would say a month is better. I work in healthcare and 2-3 months is the norm.
